Awesome stuff, Kelly. Thanks to your team for its hard work. I'm all for seeing a more scalable grid!

ah, so re: kelly. Crossing borders probably won't be faster since that was already server to server communication?

Well ... Region crossing has a lot in common with teleports and log in. In 1.9 they have a lot MORE in common - they are nearly identical code paths. In other words region crossing has been changed significantly as well in 1.9.

In that case, does the next step include teleporting with vehicle, instead of sans? because we can do that when crossing into another sim .

Are mainland land owners ever going to get some love or are all new land related features always going to be for estate owners only? It's a bit of a drag to be paying the same tier as an island owner but never get any of the new cool toys.

The preview grid is crashing quite frequently for me.
Please everyone go try to break the preview grid, make something fail, then report it in detail.
Folks who are in SL just to chat are perfect for the preview, just chat in the preview grid instead. You don't need to be technically inclined or run the tests to be of value, anyone who goes there at all increases the chances of finding a bug ior design flaw or omission and thus getting it fixed before it shows up in the finished version

LLGetParcelFlags()
I just came in my pants.
Something I've been sorta hoping for to further one of my projects.
I always get excited when one of my backburner ideas can move to the foreground!
Sweeeeeeeeet!

It is a known bug that attaching attachments from the inventory crashes the client. Attaching from in world does not I believe. And maybe only crashes when attaching to a spot that already has an attachment, not sure of that one right now.

No attaching needed, no scripted objects at all, just plain flying around. Hopefully the crash reports are of some value.

Cool, someone else on preview said it was a known bug as well, so I didn't feel so alone Rezzing the object to the ground and then attaching it from there works out ok.

Yesterday when I first found out about the crashing thing was pretty funny, got a few snapshots of Phoenix Linden running around boxhead style

OMG stop it!

Despite pointing out bugs and crashes these posts are STILL WAY TOO POSITIVE!
Where's the whining and naysaying??
Where's the "oh this will never get fixed" attitude?
You are all a DISGRACE to the forum culture.... no get out there and troll!
Next thing you know people will be peacefully working out differences and seeing each others views as both different yet respectable.
It will only lead to CHAOS!
