I've only been around a year, but I thought I'd keep the thread on-topic and post my places too :D

My first land was in Selby (I ignored First Land, and bought by location, wish I'd done First Land now! Would have made a nice profit selling it :D). Then my sister came online and got First Land in Hantu, and I moved right next to her. Then, we both picked up and moved to a nice little island in Kelham. I also have been in Oculea with Rosa and now we're both in Embu! Love all the wonderful sims out there :)

Hmm, places I've "lived" in SL? That's a difficult thing to define. There have been a number of places I've left my heart, or at least planted trees. :)

Clara - My first and only conventional house, there for about two weeks.
Varney - I planted a giant aspen in the middle of the lake there.
Gray - I moved there with the Kazenojin group in June 03 and have had creations there ever since. I had a private residence there at first - a grotto under a waterfall, but then tore that down and helped build the 3 incarnations of the airship docks.
Slate - I recreated my aspen tree here for a while, along with a little old swimming hole that was home to some of my favorite parties.
Rodeo bay - Home to a cedar tree for a while.

and

Seacliff - probably the place I've held dearest to my heart for the longest time. A number of trees have come and gone there, and I've called it home for over two years now. My unfinished tree there is one of the most egregious graphics card abusers around, as is the rest of the sim. It's still very beautiful there but much lonelier than it was at the beginning.

Well, my first home was in Baker (also the first venu I played)

Now I have a little beach area in St Martin

I had some first land, but sold it off immediately for a profit to help pay for the St Martin place.

"Home" was at first First Land in Gnoma, but that lasted all of maybe 4 days at the most.

From that point on, "Home" has been Apoda and nowhere else. I really love the sunrises and sunsets there. :)

My first land was in Ritch...over time I wound up getting half the sim...but like my neighbors at the time was finally driven out.

I'd been steadily getting land in Natoma (my favorite sim back then...still is!) for a long time when I managed to get enough land in Noyo to undertake a certain Ivory Tower project.

Ages later the Noyo location became untenable for the tower and what I wanted it to be...and I burned out on SL and left it for about a year :-0.

Back now. I've rebuilt the tower in Natoma and put up a shocking eyesore of a mall in the Ivory Tower's old location in Noyo. But it's meant to be a kitsch mall...a kitsch emporium, so it needs to have a certain pretentious look to it.

One of the first things I saw when I got here over two years ago was Ananda's Tree. Here is a shot I took from across the bay in Rodeo:

I first lived in Rodeo, in my great grandpa's lookout, on the bluff overlooking Rodeo Bay. Then I moved to Vari for awhile, cause it was so cool living next to that great underwater reef area. I moved back to the Forest of Kahruvel when we began to excavate the village in the southern part of Cowell. Now I live in the bottom two floors of the lighthouse at the end of the jetty.

I have had land in so many sims hahaha....

Igbo - Started out in Ingrid Ingersolls back yard, then bought the land next door for real cheap from Kaiwren Templar, nice guy. And toast bard moved in next to me

Boardman - Ingrid, Toast and I move to Boardman and make it pretty.

Grigano - I open my first little Prefab shop in Salzar Jack's brownstones

Miramare - Ingrid, Toast, and I open Etc... in Miramre, also my first furniture store which was actually called 'modular' across the street. Thanks to Cybin Monde for the great land! Now they are little boutique/clothing stores

Hamlin - My big furniture store in Hamlin which is still there but now belongs to Cristiano Midnight.

Deimos - Bought land next door to Toasts pretty beach, and we have eventually taken over most of the sim haha.

I think 'home' has just been Igbo, Boardman, and Deimos though

ooh, memory lane!

? - my very first land, and I can't remember the sim name :( could be natoma or ritch.

Boardman - moved in there when the sim first came online. Moved out a few weeks/months later when Tan came online and blocked my nice sea view.

Aqua - my first proper store! Avatar Central was still there at the time.

Mauve - spent ages here, the site is now the Learning Center.

Mavericks - Mat and I stayed up disgustingly late to win this at auction. Spent many happy hours there and I really regret selling it :( But at least it's in good hands now.

O? - can't remember the sim name and I could never spell it anyway. But it was home for a while, first as the Outback Club then as a real house.

Butsu - my current location - a store, not a home, but I don't feel the need for home comforts right now. And I'm not online enough to enjoy them anyway :)

I got my very first land in Clara 3 years ago. I still own that land, and now I own nearly 1/8th of Clara. Selador used to be next door.

De Haro - I have a tent there. I've owned that land almost as long as my land in Clara.

Grignano - I have a place there, and I was one of the first to move into the sim when it opened.

Gemmed - Had a shack on the water there. Sold that land, moved to Alope, sold again, moved to another part of Gemmed, back on the water again.

Yes, I recall you had a nice build, Teeny. I always felt rather guilty about my attempt at building, feeling that it detracted somewhat from yours. Still, I'm glad to say I have improved since those days. :)

I remember falling into your house and thinking, for the first time, yeah, we can build in a hole! Still wish we could cover the hole with a large ground textured mesh. And I did appreciate the large and dramatic sculpture on the roof. It was my first inworld "artistic" experience.

Oh this may be a long list lol:

Ebisu - Rose and I's first home, bought it new when we were newbs back in 04'. Our little box under the bridge (literally). This was also where I open my first "Dominion" prefab store. (still have most of it in my inventory also) I hope to buy this land back one day in hopes of making it a museum.

Apukohai - We only lived in Ebisu for about a month, then we moved on to Apukohai, this land was considered temp on our part, and we soon moved on.

Uli - This was our first "big" land at over 3000sq.m. This is when I discovered that I indeed was a prim hog ROFL.

Boardman - We owned what is now a very pricey 2048sq.m in Boardman back when it was fairly undesirable. (way before Barnes' got his hands on it, and made it beautiful lol) This was our vacation home when we used Poliahu as our store. We moved out about a month after we bought it, and took a loss on it's sale.

Poliahu - Our original large outlet store. I still own this land today, infact I have bought half of the sim since we moved in in mid 2004. Currently there is no store on it, but I plan to re-develop all 33,000sq.m of it later this year.

Kaili - Small store that was a dumb move, 512sq.m and in walking distance of our original, what was I thinking? lol

Puea - Birthday present to Rose, and our smallest home at 512sq.m - We enjoyed that place until casino's and mega stores took the sim over. We moved out early 2005.

Eagan - Our vacation snow home, one of the most beautiful properties we owned. Looking out over the snow covered Linden bridge, and the river that flowed through Eagan. We sold this to move to Benicia. Though we often wish we had kept this land for another vacation home.

Benicia - Our favorite home, and largest to date at over 32,000sq.m (Home only, no store) I build us many homes on this lot for the 7mos we owned it. Amazing views, bordered an ocean full of void (usable) sims. We moved out early 2006 to a private island sim when we were approached with a business deal we couldn't refuse. IMHO this sim has REALLY gone down hill since we left (It managed to stay upper scale residential when we lived there, turned into trashy "Big Box" commercial after we left.)

Calleta - We owned this while living in Benicia, bought as the sim came online in 2005, we made a small vacation home here. We sold this later as again the sim became "big box" commercial.

Chaotica - This has been one of the best sim's we've ever lived in. Huge private island perks, and more space (PRIM!) then we could ever wish for this has been our favorite home yet. While we don’t currently have a home on this sim yet (tore down the old one for more space) I plan to rebuild us a nice custom on this land in the very near future. (Shameless Plug: This is also the home of Dominion Custom Homes, and our show lot)

Hyades - Currently in development I hope to someday make this home to a few avies and possibly us as a upscale home and business "town center". Btw: Azure islands are wonderful!

Dream City - Also currently in development. After a friend asked me to take part in this private sim development, I plan to build a nice set of homes and business here. Although plans may change if the "wall of red no-entry lines" that surround the land on 3 sides (strange for a commercial only sim) do not disappear soon.

Wow, I am a land whore ROFL- All told we've spent close to a million linden on land since we joined in 2004, 90% of the time it's been for better, then worse. I wonder what we'll own in the future?

- Sam
