I think I remember this, Wasnt this the spot you had that waterfall?
And the grass that was red due to your sculpture???

Yes, there was a waterfall. Mind you, there is nothing unusual about that. :) But I do remember having for a short time a very large and dramatic sculpture on my roof, which indeed did stain everything for 50m around an attractive crimson shade. :)

First, I believe that calling somebody a twat is against the rules for posting in here. (Reported your post, let the moderators work it out). Second, who are you really? You were born on 6/30/2006. Reddish don't use guns. I'm the security for Reddish's land. She will eject idiots, freeze them but has never shot anybody. If you had an issue, you had the ability to report abuse back when we were in blue.
I have shot people, all of them have shot me first or shot at Reddish and she called me over to deal with it.
Now. who are you really? Too scared to state who you are? I bet that I have your other alt on the ban list already don't I?
You seem to be a fine example of the idiots that we have on the ban list.
Good day.
ps: this alt is now on the estate ban.

You don't remember the "security" script that used to boot me off my own land, then?

You seem to be a fine example of the idiots that SL is over-run with, Americans who have no consideration for others cause it's their property, dammit, yee-haw, etc. At least we agree on one thing - thank god you've got your own private island where you can't be bothered by us great unwashed.

Omerna told me about you. Your charlotte. He had a gun that did boot you. You also got a linden about it. That wasn't Reddish.
Your the loud, dirty mouth Brit that caused us so much trouble.
Good thing that your not the normal Brit that I've met. I've read your posts in here and talked with others about you. Your not a very nice person are you.
You were first banned from blue when you started calling reddish names, remember that? just because we asked you to stop the scanning you were doing on the land. I was there with my mistress. you were ejected and banned from the land.
yes, we do remember you.

Pretty much, aye.

I can't be arsed to debate with you about something so long ago - just couldn't resist taking a pop when I saw your names pop up on the forum just to see your livid reaction. This place is like a small town - slag off someone's missus and the bloke comes running in all yee-haw.

I don't think so. I have other names of people that have come over to blue and acted just like you. they have been banned. your personality shines through them all. they all act the same.

/ Tamarack - I had no clue what I was doing then and spent about L$4,000 setting up my house. Then I realized that I could make stuff and quiclky learned about prims. With that, the prim/land buying spree started...

/ Cristat - not satisifed with a mere 117 prims, I found some land in Cristat and started to build. I opened a *tiny* store and actually sold some things. I wanted to use part of my land to make SL a little easier for new citizens so I made an apartment building and rented most floors out for L$50 (equal to the stippend at the time). That was successful but I wanted more prims....

/ Barbados - I came across Barbados just when it came online. I wanted lots of prims and space...soo....I bought 12,000m. I built two great looking buildings there and rented them out too - met a lot of great people and quickly learned that 30 prims is too little for most poeple. I wanted *many* more prims.....

/ Digital Nirvana - Now *this* place is fun...15,000 prims!! Ahhh...finally - space, privacy and lots of prims! I rent sky condos (with enough prims for most people) and land there - meeting some amazing people there too.

...the only place I ever had a home was in Tamarack - now I live a nomadic life and follow the heards of migrating prims across my lands :)

As for the subject - that is borrowed from the ultra-popular Dominus Shadow's licence plate ;)

My first "home" was Schwan's Punany Club in Aasim. My first land was in Kasba and after that I moved to Federal, where I have been ever since.

I was thinking of posting to this thread, because I thought it started out being an interesting idea... but since it's turned into a personal argument, I don't believe I'll bother. If you want to argue, how about taking it to PM's or discussing it in world?

This is why a lot of people with ideas and points of view that might be worth hearing are scared away from the forums... because nobody can express even the most basic idea without someone turning it into an argument or an attack. Well done, people.

My first three homes in SL were in The Forest.
I shared an apartment there with a friend, briefly, then shared a small Japanese village with another friend there, and finally we moved into a custom-built home that I paid half of the purchase price for. The Forest used to be a beautiful sim. We moved out when the drama and internal politics involving sim officers and the sim owner got too messy. It is now a desolated wasteland, undergoing reconstruction, and pretty much everyone there that I knew had moved elsewhere. Most went to Serenity Woods.

My next home was in Magenta.
We moved the house from The Forest to a new location in Magenta, on land owned by another member of our SL Household. We paid the cost of expanding that friend's parcel holdings, and have helped to make other improvements there. I still have that home, and spend about 1/4 of my time there.

I recently had the joy of creating two sims - Nohona Isle and Wailele Isle.
The tropical island paradise that I built was so beautiful and peaceful that I just had to own a piece of it for myself. So I purchased one of the homes that I built on Wailele Isle, as well as another parcel there for more prims and a skybox. A member of my household will soon buy a home there herself, and two other friends who don't play much in SL share the lower floor of my bungalo. We have a great landlord, who is a good friend as well as a true patron of my building and landscaping business. Life is good, there. I spend about half my free time on those two islands.

The remainder of my time is usually spent on client's parcels, building and landcaping.

Boardman but it ran out of prims before I built anything.

Clara which ran out of prims before I built anything plus something painted my land red.

Kissling where I bought land from Rathe of course. People actually shared prims so I built Fate Park. It was nice then.

Olive where, with Jarod's help, I bought land from MaryJane near the fabulous Sulumor. Prims were limited to parcel sizes there; and I liked that; so I built Fate Gardens. It was there that I met Bob, Cory & Phinz, Eggy, Garth & Pituca, Higbee, Jai & Crowcatcher, this list gets kinda long, can't argue Philip's point that the Mainland is a compelling place to meet people and form groups.

Those aquaintances prompted me to move into Slate, Taber and Zoe after 1.2 imposed global prim limits. I wanted to hang with them all and build into their natural and Tudor themes. They've all moved on since. Why am I still here?

Finally, I returned to Boardman after it was restored by Arlo, Barnes, Ingrid, Schwanson, et al. They're a really fun group and the place looked great. Nobody really hangs out there anymore either.

Come to think of it, I've never really "lived" anywhere on the grid. I've purchased land in sims to participate in projects and socialize with people at the time, then not traded it off after everyone else has gone. Well not "gone," I still track them down and visit! Community isn't really land-based in Second Life is it.

Please keep all private disputes out of the public forums; as per forum guildelines.

This thread has been submitted for linden review, but I don't not think it shoud be locked as long as it remains on topic.

When I was a noob, i had a tent in De Haro.

Later I had an island in the sky in Ahern.

For a week I had a rental room in... i don't remember they tore down the house and put up a mall.

Then I had a house in the Darklife town.

Now I don't have my own house. Much of my SL I have been homeless. I've always had a wanderlust.

I had first land somewhere, dont remember where. Then I got my first piece of Yamato ... that has been more than 2 years ago. I've got bits and pieces around, but Yamato has always been where I consider home. To the extent that I haven't even reset my "home" designation in all that time.

Unlikely I'll move anytime soon. :) Although I'm planning to rearrange some stuff. Move my open-air Market across the street, maybe build a house to live in. Tidy up my work lot where I build. Stuff like that.

Which, in my opinion, is a bit of a shame. It'd be nice to be able to get to know the neighbours you build next to in SL, maybe it'd make for more of a sense of community and more people taking their neighbours' wishes into consideration when they build. And if builds are complementary to one another in an area, it makes for a more varied and more pleasant SL to explore.

It's not an extreme statement. Aquaintences are still established as often by proximity of space as they are by common introduction. Friendships still grow from exposure facilitated by common location as often as common interests.

Perhaps I SHOULD HAVE SAID that continuing community spirit among a group doesn't require that they be slavishly tied to the land that they lived or worked on when they met and got to know each other.

As for taking neighbours' wishes into consideration, that simply requires that neighbors be adult enough to work together, even when we disagree and aggrevate each other. It's almost impossible to find a sim where all of the land owners are so inclined, almost. That is a shame; but it makes Second Life better than the real world. At least that's what we're told.

*waves at Jim*

My first land (512) was in Olive. Had a nice park and a train/tunnel. I remember when some toons bought the 512 next to mine and built a lovely cartoon themed home.

Yamato
- Moved there for awhile. Great people were there like Jim, Saul, Vala and more!

Degar - Moved there when the sim opened. Bought plot #1 at auction. Degar is a nice quiet sim. Most of the land owners there now are the original land owners when sim opened. Only about 5 major land owners there I think. My store, No Mercy, has also been there since it opened and hasnt moved. Its a very very very rare occassion that land goes up for sale in Degar, when it does usually we ask each other if they want it.

Necropolis (sp?) - Private sim owned by Versu R. She is a wonderful landscaper, builder, designer, etc. I have my home here. But I jump between Degar and here.

My home in SL has been, for the past two+ years, a lovely piece of land in Mimas, overlooking the bridge, and the (tubing ready) river and rapids. It's been nearly a perfect sim to live in, with relatively low traffic, a fun highway going right by my house, a mountain behind me, and a huge lake down the hill. It's a wonderful area to build with the natural terrian (as opposed to flattening things out), and I've seen many interesting builds come and go nearby. Right down the street is the wonderful Toon House built by Lleah Lupis, and kitty-corner to me is the enormous and unused old Tropics Casino (Tony..tear that damn thing down and build a park!!). :)

I've owned other land in other sims, and built a variety of things on them (I miss the old Tir Na Nog build), but Mimas has been, and continues to be my home.

Stop by and say hello!

I lived briefly in two rental rooms, one by J Auk or something like that (maybe the name Baldwin Enterprises was part of that); don't remember where they were.

Then I"bought" my own land in Miens from Adam and Nexus, when they first started out, then moved to Azure Islands when they moved there, and have lived there ever since.

Then I became a premium member and bought my own first land for my shop in Rosieri, and have been there ever since, and expanded it.
