I believe that sim is called Jessie!

*sings*

Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
Little boxes, little boxes,
Little boxes, all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

Man, that place just begs for squatters.

Where's the nearest place we can drag objects from? :p

Linden Lab has truly recreated the charm of Levittown, the mother of our suburban sprawl!

Offline, I have long wondered what it'd be like to live in a place like this. In SL, I suppose I can get closer to wish fulfillment.

Dude... wonder no more! I am generously offering to swap you your Canadian forest retreat for my 2-up 2-down terraced suburban house. Exclusively for your benefit so you can fulfill your wish, you understand.

Where you live has things like that? I can't say I'm familiar with the geography but after watching Hollywood movies depicting life in the suburbs like Pleasantville, I'm openminded.

Hehehe!

Some things came to mind. At the border, Max Case set up a "happy fun land" gate, which reminded me of a cross between one of those James Bond checkpoints and one of those Metal Gear Solid checkpoints and something else. It kinda screamed out BURBCLAVE to me. It really did.

In addition to that, I see Resis moving in and making changes to their houses. Including privacy options ("NO ENTRY" in red).

It remains to be seen how much the neighborhood will change. And where's the school? :) There's a sign for a schoolbus. Maybe something totally hilarious would be to cruise around the street in an ol' big yellow with hydraulics and give shoutouts to your homies in the hood. Or something.

I also think of some of my favorite media, like that episode of The X-Files where Mulder dreams he has it all easy, and Cigarette-Smoking Man lives in the same neighborhood as him. Or that ep of Twilight Zone with monsters next door. Or even some pleasant type of VR construct where the roads run off into the unknown.

I would live there. If there are houses for rent. It would be weird to live in a neighborhood that looks absolutely normal, but to see Vampires and Goths and Faeries and robots and furry things walking down the street.

That does have a nice surreality to it. Good point.
