10. Clone Torley Linden so we can all have one of our own ;)

Best suggestion evar. The world would be drowning in positivity.

Can I pre-order one of the neon pink and green pony editions? :p

I'd like to see a better Groups system. ;)

I want higher local FPS for smoother performance always.

And, along with the recent Lights upgrade, on an eye candy tip, I hope we'll get better foot (and more kinds of) shadows soon... an old nemesis!

Toes would be pretty special, too. :p

Customizeable joystick or other periferal implementations. Would be nice to use a joystick to fly around, a steering wheel to drive, or a 3D glove to do everything else

Don't mind Lewis. He's just woke up. :)

No, it's just his stellar personality. It's just so perky.

I refuse to take seriously any advertisment or poster, in-game, on the forums, or unrelated to SL, that cannot be bothered to use correct english spelling and grammer.

Everyone makes mistakes, including you.

Go the the 'known issues' - and knock all that stuff out.

(Yeah I know it's 'not cool and fun')

Ok - after that go to all the 'cool and fun' stuff that is currently half done (yeah it became 'unfun didn't it!') and get all that done (you know xmlrpc, the jitterly and half arsed 'camera control' shiney you nearly busted permissions over to throw in last big update - animation override in the UI that was kinda supposed to be hand in hand with anim implimentation in 1.4 - all those half finished projects)

Ok got all that done?

Ok.. call me when thats done and we'll talk about new shiney.

Can the BLOTTD (big list of things to do) and maybe institute the BLOSWSHGF (big list of shit we should have got finished)

Grammer, Lewis?

Begin taking yourself less seriously, please, starting now.

I believe he was referring to Kelsey Grammer.

:p

Alas, we should probably follow your astute advice then and not take you seriously, since while attacking someone for their spelling, you misspelled grammar

PS - as far as features, HTML and a customizeable GUI a la World of Warcraft would be nice..

**edit

I want more sparklies!

Specifically, I'd like to see flexiprims that can be made to "flex" from more than one fixed point or even move their fixed side in a circle AROUND that fixed point, so as to make good flags possible.

I'd also like to see more shapes capable of being flexible. Flexi torus! :D

There are many more things that would be a lot more benefit to a lot more people, besides there's too many people already here wanting to make big money from a computer game, ruining things for the rest of us.

I would suggest that, before becoming an entrepreneur, you learn how to spell it. I refuse to take seriously any advertisment or poster, in-game, on the forums, or unrelated to SL, that cannot be bothered to use correct english spelling and grammer.

Lewis

First off, I did spell it correctly (ok i missed the 'r' key but that was a simple typo and not the portion I was doubtful of). Secondly, I receive no pain from any silly cunt who bashes an idea while declaring there are many more beneficial additions to be made and then lists none of them. If you can think of so many why did you not share them with us. And btw, My spelling and grammer when typing into forums or chat is somewhat truncated into typical net shorthand (which I am certain disturbs uptight lew to no end, and this pleases me deeply). I apologize that I cannot bring myself to be a wanna be elitist by using perfect english in forum posts and idle chatter with my friends on irc. UR A FUCKING TWAT! there is your grammer right there. And btw, I know what the nature of SL is and I know its not immediately taken seriously as a businessplace for the endusers however, I was only speaking of an advanced group system not for forming a real business but one that exists in SL. I'm not trying to get rich on SL But i think even for fun SL CORPORATE structure would be amazing. Everyone else who commented thank you for your comments..... Lewis Nerd, I made sure to leave this as one long paragraph just for you, ya wanker.

Group increase and divided them by social and business categories and land purposes

Calling Card, not automatic join~teleport, no mapping (it is just not right)

Auto walking, auto flying

online status hidden

Better way to ride vehicles

Better ways to organize inventories.. (Drawers)

Group enhancements!!
06-01-2006 02:35
1. Being able to join more groups.

2. Ability to mute group IM chatter.

3. Creation of announce-only groups -- only designated people could send IM

4. Some way to get rid of officers: founder boot or majority vote of officers, perhaps

5. More granularity of control; being able to separate some of these other privileges (sending IM) from others (selling group land)

6. Restricting distribution of group money to officers (less of an issue now that dwell is going, but the group might sell land)

I still wish we had an llWrite2Notecard function. As nice as llHTTPRequest and the floating browser are, and as many worlds as they open up, LSL will always be broken without some kind of permanent, I/O function.

I don't need any addictive drugs to get me started or going through the day.

It's true though. If you received a letter from a real world business, that was full of spelling mitsakes and grammatical errors, would it give you confidence to buy/invest in their product? Of course not, which is why people employ proofreeders and most word processors come with spelling checkers to help you get things right.

So why should anything be different in-world? When I see classifieds and suchlike that ARE ALL IN CAPITALS or have ...:::~~~~crap like this~~~~:::... around it to try and make it stand out, I simply dismiss it as amateurish and a mark of immaturity.

If you want me to treat you seriously, then you earn it by communicating accurately, be it First or Second Life. After all, if you're wanting me to spend my money on your product, how can I be sure that your scripting/building won't turn out to be as shoddy as your english?

Lewis

First off, blah blah blah <snip>

You are just the sort of person we don't need in Second Life. If you want to play corporate games, go play them in the real world. This is a computer game, and should be treated appropriately.

Your personal attacks are duly reported.

Entirely intentional. Unfortunately the subtleties of British humour don't always work in a predominantly american playerbase.

I think the comment referred to the fact that, at my local time in the UK, the message was posted just after 8am.

The fact I'm usually up at least an hour before that was, presumably, part of the humourous intentions of the post.

Hmmm, OK, so - where did you get the SOH bypass surgery then Lewis, was it expensive? Painful?
