I have no need to use it.

I have a better question, does anyone really care? Actually, yes, some of us do care. I queried a few other adult club owners/managers last night to find out how many are using it. I was unable to find any who have used the feature yet. All of us so far are still handling things on an individual basis as they occur. I'm sure some clubs are, but they weren't ones I happened to ask. Our concerns were mainly two: First, that a large portion of the unverifieds we get are actually nice folks and many were foreign (non-US) residents. Second, excluding that many people would reduce traffic numbers by at least half or more -- less of a concern if we were certain it really could keep out underage kids without also keeping out MORE consenting adults than kids. In other words we think it would do more harm than good. I think a higher ban list length would do more good than the verification filter. _____________________

I haven't had to use it either, but I seldom ban people anyway. Haven't had a real griefer problem at my place yet.

I've found it to be a useful tool. I feel much more comfortable that my clients, both for sex education or other adult services are adults themselves, which is very important to me. Certainly I use other tools as well, but this one helps a lot.

Honestly, I haven't spent enough time on my own property since the change to even consider trying the ban on unverifieds. Too busy working. Though with a ban height of only 50 meters, it's pretty much worthless, except for keeping noob panhandlers from walking in my front door and asking for free Lindens.
I suppose if I get beset by multiple griefers while I am trying to enjoy a quiet sunset on the deck of my bungalo, it will be one of the first things I'll try turning on, while I unpack the security orb that I was forced to buy to provide some measure of reliable privacy, and prepare to teleport them all home with the orb. _____________________

How is banning unverified accounts working out? The ban height for that is only 50 meters or so, is that correct? I'm using it on the far end of my land, where the griefers have been going with their unverified alts to grief my neighbors, and I 'm pretty happy to have the option. I haven't set it on the other 80% of my property though. If I get a griefer like I did the other day though, I'll be sure to turn it on for a while. |

Haven't used it yet, don't want to, but now I know I don't have to... Our club is built well over 50 metres to reduce lag from the nearby casinos and what not... Dammit LL, why create a tool that is so utterly useless? >.< |

Therefore, it will be possible to discriminate based on verification status, even if you are 50+ meters above ground level. _____________________

I already boot everyone univited around my skybox, irregardless of status. _____________________

Cool, a way to make griefer balls (er security scripts) crash peoples clients based on status... It is already possible for security scripts to detect avatar age. If large numbers of people start writing scripts to eject unverified players, it won't be because discrimination became technologically possible. It will be because it became socially normal. |

Still griefing! AR Linden Lab then. They're the ones to make the tools. No. I don't use the feature because it's worthless, poorly thought out, and no whre near what the community actually needs to handle griefers. ~Jessy _____________________

Gun manufacturers aren't killers. The people who use them are. Yeah, yeah. Old lame arguement. But in this case teh makers of the "weapon" are also teh ones who make the laws and siad it was okay to use them. Right or wrong, LL says its legal, so they are the ones at fault. ~Jessy _____________________
