From: SuezanneC Baskerville In the main grid I just copied and pasted the default script so that I had one thousand fifty lines in a script. The typing is working normally. I created a new note, pasted the script's text in there, and the typing is fine. Still slow here. Rammed my graphics settings down. Still slow. BTW Torley confirmed this bug. It would seem the bugs are not appearing consistently. I have slow editing, you have it normal. For some people delete in inventory is not working, for me it works. Maybe LL should just roll back the scaling UI feature. A good number of bugs (some fixed) seem to be connected to it. Suezanne, I'm on a GF6600GT PCIX what's your vid hardware?

This update is a waste of time. They address none of the serious issues people have been complaining about.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What does First name in a search query is once again automatically highlighted when search is performed mean? When the result list comes back the first item is automaticlly highlighted and displayed. For example, in "Search" -> "Places", enter "clubside" and the one result is listed. After the fix it will actually be as if you clicked that first result showing its information in the right panel.

I accidentally sent something to the wrong person because of this.

From: Aodhan McDunnough Suezanne, I'm on a GF6600GT PCIX what's your vid hardware? Radeon X800 GTO, 256 megs of video ram. Do you get the same results on scripts and notecards in an object's contents as ones that are in your inventory?

From: Zyanya Ophelia This update is a waste of time. They address none of the serious issues people have been complaining about. I totally disagree. The ONE serious design flaw that live musicians have been complaining about since March, 2005 (you can see a response from Philip to me saying "we'll have that fixed in the next release" in the forums at that time) is the fact that you cannot control system sounds separately from the stream audio. This enables audio griefing, because you HAVE to listen to system sounds to listen to the music, and it forces people to type with a leading "/" at concerts to avoid polluting the music with keyclicks for everyone. If you've been to a live concert, you've seen this practice in place, and it's phenomenally annoying to have to do so. This is the first update that really matters to me since 1.2 came out, which had the stream player built into the viewer. It has taken Linden Lab 17 months to address it since we first brought it up on the Linden Hotline forum, and I'm very glad it will be in place before the SLCC show on August 18.

From: Clubside Granville first item Ahh, they meant first item in the results but said first name - I read first name as in first name last name. This does seem to be working in Siva.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What does mean? In the current version of SL, unlike previous ones, if you search for a person, none of the people found are highlighted; to actually see any profile information, you have to click on one of the names in the list (perhaps a list of one) that were found. In previous versions and the upcoming version, the first one found will be automatically highlighted, and their profile info will show up right away without an additional click.

From: Frans Charming Uhm, isn't wednesday the 9th? You are correct - that was my mistake. I get annoyed when they put up posts saying things like "Attention - Free Money Today!" and they stay up for a month or two. Thus I added a date. I may not have had my reading glasses on, or it was a typo. The date error in the quoted announcement, saying it will happen on July 26th, is not my error. Errors like that can be corrected by Linden moderators but I don't know if it's worth bothering them about.

I wont be greedy in my wish... fix our reset camera views please. I had a great experiece today where I ended up seeing the cool foundation to my house. Couldnt get the camera to come up for nothing.. just got many more useless views. I actually tried in vain to reset the view. Silly me... you gotta log out and back in to fix that.

Every single MMO I have been in has had a weekly maintainance and update time, just because SL didn't do this for a very long time (We were stuck with bugs for months at one point) doesn't mean it's not a good way to do things. If you can't miss one day of SL, you seriously need to rethink a few things.

From: Maeve Morgan We were stuck with bugs for months at one point I might be wrong but I think the recent weekly update policy was started at least in part as a result of a great deal of clamor for more frequent updates so we didn't have to wait so long for bug fixes. I guess the expectation of the clamorers was that more frequent updates meant less bugs. If we switch back then we get bugs in bigger batches, with less user feedback on bigger changes to the program's design. Can't win for losing.

the weekly updating started becuase of the bungle 1.7 if you look back they stoped doing them for a little bit @ the end of 1.8 (once things got settled down from 1.7) then it was like every other week or every 3rd week ect with this last update ... From: someone random linden: its been a nightmare update
and yea that was said to me, cant remember which one atm they know they screwed up (again) and they are getting out patches i just hope they dont get too excited and cause even more bugs like the last patches
