From: Kevn Klein I thought you were asked to send Jeska an email to cancel your mod powers since you aren't in the SC anymore. But my memory isn't what it used to be. Obviously, and I was not asked by the SC, nor do I recognize their authority to remove me as moderator.

I thought the constitution gives the SC sole control/moderator rights. When you leave the SC you are supposed to relinquish your moderator rights on your own.

When you leave the SC you are supposed to relinquish your moderator rights on your own. I've never been a member of the SC. There is no law on the books that says a moderator must be SC. There are agreements that SC members should be moderators. I have always maintained there should be one Mod from each branch of the Government. I was made a moderator in my role as Gildemeister. As I now assume the duties of PR in relation to my duties as the head of Neualtenburg's Chamber Of Commerce, and I currently sit as a member of the RA --I hold that my role as Moderator is just as necessary as it was the day this forum was founded. If you know of a law in Neualtenburg that states otherwise, kindly find it for me.

From: Kendra Bancroft I've never been a member of the SC. There is no law on the books that says a moderator must be SC. This is true. There is no section of the constitution or law on the books that states moderators must be members of the SC. There is only my nonbinding interpretation of the Constitution for a proposed bill that never materialized from five months back that stated moderators should be from the SC plus Kendra. So, her role is in complete accord with a several-month-old interpretation from a former SC member and noncitizen. Further, according to Linden forum policy, to which this group subscribes from evidence of their handling of my state as moderator, group founders cannot be removed as moderator. Since she is a group founder, this means she has a Linden-recognized right to be moderator and cannot be removed unless she herself asks Jeska to be removed. ~Ulrika~

From: Kendra Bancroft Let's test out a theory --shall we? I will now attempt to delete the above post and we shall see if it's possible to see if it was deleted? okay?
This is just a test. Not a punishment. I've quoted your post above so that we can actually still read your post.
Well whattaya know? You can clearly see that Dianne's post has been deleted by me! Whew! I thought I was going crazy when I didn't see my post in the list. It did make the thread longer though. Since we are talking about it, were does it say that you deleted it? and who is the statement visible to?

Which is why I know that Kevn's posts wren't deleted in that thread.

I'm sorry, but I have witnessed Kevn's posts being removed. One moment I saw a post, then another they were deleted. Kevn, you might want to IM Gwyn, and see how you can file a formal complaint. Unfortunately, if the person who deleted your post was Ulrika, neualtenburg has no power to sanction her. From: Kendra Bancroft There is no law on the books that says a moderator must be SC.
I've always thought that Article III, Section 1 of the constitution vested moderation powers on to the SC: "Its service rol[e] is to resolve citizen disputes and moderate user forums and events". Thus SC members being moderators is *constitutionally mandated*, and not simply based on informal agreements. From: someone I have always maintained there should be one Mod from each branch of the Government.

I think that by stating that forum moderation is the SC's role, non-SC members are in fact not allowed to moderate user forums. If I remember correctly, there was an informal agreement that Kendra remain in the moderators' list in an advisory role. I do agree that forum moderation should probably *not* be entirely the SC's responsibility. Perhaps another constitutional amendment is in order.

I cannot see that the post was deleted. Perhaps it is only visible to moderators. The only post of Dianne's I see is the one which begins "Whew! I thought I was going crazy..." Since you (Kendra) deleted the post, are you sure that the other moderators can see your deletions and not just you?

I moderate another board using vBulletin and there are two types of delete - there's a "soft delete" (where a note saying "this post has been deleted" is visible to other moderators) and a "hard delete" which scrubs the post out of the database.
However, since I have a lot of powers on that board which forum mods might not have here, they may not have access to the hard delete. If I was a Linden I wouldn't give them that, just in case.

If I remember correctly, there was an informal agreement that Kendra remain in the moderators' list in an advisory role. The Neualtenburg Group started this forum. As it's founder The SC moderates this forum at my invitation. Not the reverse. Consider me the party responible to the Lindens for forum behavior. From: Flyingroc Chung I do agree that forum moderation should probably *not* be entirely the SC's responsibility. Perhaps another constitutional amendment is in order. The Constitution is fine. Nowhere does it state I can't remain as a moderator. Aliasi on the other hand should have herself removed promptly.

Are you suggesting that after I sent the request to Jeska to remove me as a moderator and knowing that after several days of watching the SC fail to articulate a policy on my state as a moderator that I used took advantage of the situation to have fun at the expense of one of my bestest friends, Kevn Klein? That's an interesting theory. Very interesting. ~Ulrika~

From: Kendra Bancroft yes --because I see all moderator deletions. Including one by Gwyn where she deleted her own post in that same thread. There's an option to send a deleted thread to the "moderator queue" at which time it will no longer be visible. Just sayin'. ~Ulrika~

From: Kevn Klein OK, I'm asking, did you delete my posts, Ulrika? I don't think that anything that might or might not have been deleted will be missed. Nonetheless, I hope that someday we get to the bottom of this, for Kevn's sake. ~Ulrika~

No post of Kevn's has been deleted by a moderator on that thread, or I would see it.
All I can say is I believe my own eyes, and I witnessed *several* of Kevn's posts deleted. From: someone It's a constitutional matter that SC members should moderate the forum --there is nothing in the Constitution that says I shouldn't.
I'm not so sure. I will ask the SC for clarification.

I'm not so sure. I will ask the SC for clarification. The SC moderates this forum at my discretion, FR --you had better check with me instead.
