I've made many changes and additions to the website including:
  1. An updated home page: http://www.neualtenburg.org
  2. A citizens list: http://www.neualtenburg.org/community/citizens/
  3. A few photographs: http://www.neualtenburg.org/community/photos/
  4. A new Government section.
  5. A govt membership list: http://www.neualtenburg.org/government/members/
  6. Our constitution: http://www.neualtenburg.org/government/constitution/
  7. Our covenant: http://www.neualtenburg.org/government/covenant/
  8. Our deed: http://www.neualtenburg.org/government/deed/
  9. Our ToS: http://www.neualtenburg.org/government/tos/
  10. Update of links for the new content.
  11. Rewrote a couple of paragraphs.

What additional features would you like to see on the website as we grow? I was thinking about personalized pages where a person could see a list of their property, deeds, and monthly land-use fees.

The government list bit is great. It lets me more easily conceptualize how everything is. If surprising on some bits... so many of us wear so many hats, seeing how many people can't vote in one branch or another is kinda odd to note, if understandable.

Yes. It's very useful. I'll add election dates and terms to the list in the future. :)

One question Kendra, who is missing from or shouldn't be on the AC list. I was in a hurry when I threw it together, so there might be some inaccuracies?

Nice Update!
No biggie but aren't the government lists wrong a bit? Gwyneth can't be on all three branches (I think I remember her saying she quit the Science Council). and I am supposed to be a Journeyman(Journeywoman?) in the Guild.

And just to be really, really, picky the alphanumerical ordering in the lists varies from the first to the third list. Why not use the same convention throughout?

:)

It is possible to be on all three branches, however, if one is active in either the SC or RA they cannot vote in any other branch. It's their choice to select the branch in which they want to vote. Thus, Gwyn is still a member of the SC (as far as I know). If she ever resigns or is not reelected to the RA, she'll still have her position on the SC.

Yes you are. I've added you to the list. Right now the AC list is incomplete. I need help from you all and Kendra to get it into shape. I've since added you.

Great question! The RA is alphabetical (by first name). The SC is listed first according to hierarchy and then alphabetically. The AC (Guild) is currently hierarchical and then alphabetical but it will eventually change to show which Journeymen are under which Master (grouped hierarchical and then alphabetical).

It's always complicated with me, is it? :D

I also just added captions to all the photographs, as the final bit of preparation for the contest. It's time for a break. :)

Just a quick heads up. You listed Dianne as being on the RA, but she is not currently. Easy oversight with all the other work you have been doing. So just wanted to let you know.

And seriously great work Ulrika! I *love* the captions next to the photos too!! :D

Well it does seem kind of misleading to list her if she is not an active member and can take no part in proceedings. Ditto ranking the second two lists hierarchicaly as well as alphabetically but not the first one, but that's your choice.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

She's a member for life so she'll always have a position in the SC unless she chooses to resign. I've now listed those who are temporarily inactive in a branch in grey to show that they are members but have no vote. This is meant to satisfy Article V, Section 2 of the Constitution that states :
Citizens may not serve simultaneously in the Representative and Philosophic branch. Members of the Representative Assembly and the Scientific Council may be members of the Artisanal Collective but may not vote nor hold elected positions in the Artisanal branch.

The first one cannot be ranked hierarchically, as the RA is a "flat" body without hierarchy. ;)

Fixed.

I'm also missing some folks in the Guild and have forgotten under which Meister the Journeymen belong. As soon as Kendra recovers from her illness (and the enormous amount of work in SL she just completed), I'm sure we'll get a better list.

I'm still a bit under the weather, but expect a guild list as soon as my head clears.

Journeymen by defintion have no meister --apprentices do. Currently there are no apprentices.

Excellent! I did not know that. I'll file that away in my giant Nburg political filing cabinet. I wonder how much of my brain is actually dedicated to understanding our political system. :D

As for the list there's no rush on anything from you. Thank you for making that wonderful video at the last minute despite your illness. Take some time off to get better. :)

Love the captions by the photos --tho' in fairness, the photo in the beer cellar is Garnet's work --not mine, and the barrels depicted are not Altenbrau and Neubrau barrels. Garnet does amazing work, and I'd like to see that changed :)

Thanks, I'm in a rare "between Nyquil doses" period of lucidity. The mnemonic for remembering Journeymen having no meisters is that they literally "journey" from workshop to workshop.

oh --and in Safari, at least --the text captions next to the photos seem to wrap into the wood border making it difficult to read. Just a head's up --the website looks wonderful :)

Thank you for that trick. I won't forget it again. :)

I gave credit to Garnett and fixed the formatting problem. I keep designing websites for my massive 1920x1200 display. :)

Yes, the photo is, I think, but the actual textures are not. I wouldn't want to take credit for something I didn't do. Sorry to add to the confusion :D
