While you are summing up, take a good look at the words you quoted back to me. Especialy the ones I put into CAPITALS to make it easier for you to understand. Note I am talking about how much I don't care about what you do in *retaliation* to being attacked. What you choose to do to someone else is between you and them. Why should I care about your chosen method of retaliation? Why should my keeping out of your business "sum up" anything?

I am posting here because you and your fans have been posting on my forum. Filling it with complaints/demands centured around your broken script and their desire for me to make your script work again.

You can have more purposeful debate about any subject if you can only learn to avoid the use of faulty logic. If you cannot avoid the use of faulty logic in a argument, then you end up making the entire thing flawed in its reasoning. I expect I'm going to get flamed for critisism though, wouldn't suprise me considering the very arguments you have presented.

On the subject at hand the actual "backdoor" was never a backdoor, it was a exploitation of a device created pre-llGetObjectDetails that stored the input channel in the description, for who knows what reason, and allowed a target to be inputted more than once (for who knows what reason). This could have been avoided had the device been written so that it disabled the input of a target multiple times during the course of its session.

This has been patched[\b] in a Quantum Core update, and will not function. It is now merely good as a excessively laggy way to know who orbited you. This is also unnecessary as TAP is collision activated, although nonphysical, therefore you could simply add a check to any existing collision based detector without the sensor.

serously, if there is a way to exploit something to someones advantage, some else will prbably find it, use it, sell it, and maybe even publish it... that icludes exploiting the exploits

Darling made a product with code that relied on an assumption, and the assumption became invalid after the point of release. Whether she was prompt in patching the hole in an update and whether it deserved to be exploited is in the realm of opinion, which is in dire need of leaving the public discussion table, or at least this one.

Besides being wrong on that point, an unmodified older copy of QC will simply move to the corner if given an invalid key, according to what you yourself said, why would you have it randomly attack someone if given an invalid key?

Also, everything past darlings first flame post will be removed and the thread locked.

Do you have any idea how many people will never buy your product now after seeing your conduct here? Instead of coming in laughing, joking, making light of the security hole and maybe even congratulating someone for pointing it out. Then you could have fixed the problem and increased your fan base.

Remember you are trying to sale a product. Every single thing you do is an advertisement for that product. Is this the kind of adspace you want people to know you by?

Try looking at the response from the creator to the (edit; TY Void) Force Prophecies alignment backdoor thread here in the forum.

I do not want to continue this discussion here. That could truely be initiate by the ones that want to in onother new thread. I only could not believe that you will let it be deleted. I can understand if you let it be locked so no further comment can be posted.

As I understand this forum your psting here was an invitation to everyone to discuss, quote and answer to you script. That may include complaining from the creator of the stuff you "break" (I don't thing it was breaking at all) with your script.


SL No, to be serious I think that is not a good way to handle it. For me that has something bitter in it, like "delete what I do not want to hear". Not saying that this is you intention or feeling, but it has this effect on my side and I do not see anything to odd or rude in this discuss, what deserves deletion.

I think it would be better to let the comments there and let everybody judge by himself the pros and cons. Like I said before, lock it but do not delete it!

But OK, maybe I live in a fantasy world about that, but I think the world would be better if it were that way! But be pushed to reallity, I will rethink my understanding of this forum.

Lets get a few facts straight here.

Fact 1) The so called "hole/hack/bug/exploit" was already disabled in the beta version.

Fact 2) The beta version went to the public upgrade server 2 days after Jana posted this script, and only 4 hours after I had seen this script.

So, with a 4 hour responce time, why would people not buy from me? Try getting that kind of responce time from other creators. I dont think you will find many who respond that fast.

From your comments it seems you might have missed those two facts. The way some people here are complaining, you might have mistakenly though it was not fixed. Espcialy when most of this forum has been people complaining that *jana's* script isnt working because I disabled it.

While it is true that some people may still be running the old version of the Quantum Core, it is also true that they can get an upgrade at any time by pressing the UPGRADE button on their HUD. (Which will deliver the latest QC to them immediatly) In fact I send out upgrades once a week with new stuff in them to encorage people to keep up to date.

I will continue to immediatly disable any script made by Jana, or anyone else, that is designed to interfear with the normal operation of products I have sold. It is my right to maintain the integrity of my products for my customers.

Care to clarify? How about your "Soolar Alter" account that attacked me with TAP-based weapon, with your name on it as the creator, yet unreleased so far as I can tell? Oh, how about when in Rausch, you, not even bothering with an alt, used the "Safe Zone TAP Killer" weapon, which just from the name is a violation of TOS?

Sorry to bump this again, but I've been notified that this is the QC default foe list.

I find it ammusing that Darling thinks having her huds automaticly attack anyone she doesn't like is "mature."

Personally I believe having your weapons attack people without telling the object owner is utterly idiotic.

I question her coding abilities if people are even able to get at that list without brute force checking against any av she might have a grudge against (which from her replies on this thread there seems to be a lot of th em).


Incidentally, I totally support you violating the no naming names rule in this case so that people who are being targetted at least have a heads up that she's targetting them (no pun intended).

slight confusion here, the naming names policy is about targeting specific names for the pupose of singling them out (advertising/slamming). not that there aren't a million other reasons to AR the thread(s)...

Back doors to the weapons huds? There are too many as it is , I don't think Darling will let that happen, possibly because it's considered a "Stacked Deck". Is that all why you hate her so much?

and Whimpering Hush is incorrect in HIS ass-umption that QC says he is attacking it's user. It does not work that way at all. It simply notifies the QC user that a listed "Foe" (and Fake Female AV's) that are within scanner range.
