Well, I'm not resigned. I'm not waiting. And I do care.
So leaving aside the anger issue. Which choice would you expect me to choose on your poll? To me, resigned means doing nothing. And I am doing something. Firelight |

I seriously doubt LL is going to give any sort of satisfactory "Response".
They told us what we are going to have happen to us, and it's simplyy not open for discussion, in their opinion. If it WAS open to discussion, wouldn't they be, like, ***discussing*** it with us? Instead, they remain utterly silent. They already gave the only answer they intend to give. Stone cold silence. _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

And I am doing something. Firelight thats what here is for.. me i am tired of waiting.. i got past the angry too.. i would like some response from LL if you have another answer.. just ellucidate here. the question was pertaining to a response .. whether you were waiting for one or not...not whether you care about what you are doing.. so if you have done something else and are satisfied and dont care whether LL responds or not, i reckon the 3rd is applicable.. but thats only my opinion _____________________

Yep, definitely a grossly generalized set of options.
I am not waiting, because I am used to LL being COMPLETELY unresponsive on serious issues for months at a time. I'm not exactly "angry", either, just disgusted. I don't set expectations for Linden Lab anymore. ANY reasonable expectations of customer service, communication, or concern are almost ALWAYS disappointed, usually with extreme prejudice in that regard. |

Voting with my feet. Pretty much went as I expected. My gut feeling when I joined up a little over a year ago was spot on. I don:t deal with companies who treat their customers so badly. Good luck to you all and best wishes for whichever direction you take.

Angry ... waiting ... waiting ....and waiting getting more angry at having to wait .... waiting .
Disopointed may be more how i feel , I have backed LL thru some pretty rough changes over the years ... but i fail to see this change as a positive for the majority of residents . LL fail in communnicating with customers .... bad . _____________________

I work at a company's HQ office which has over 80 non-commission workers. To manage the decisions of the company, all major decisions are decided by the Board of Directors, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Director. The QA's job is to obtain opinions and ideas from the "lower" workers/customers and present it to the board. This process takes a week or two, as most businesses have board meetings only an average of twice a month.
I think we're just waiting on the hierarchy of their business system to come to a conclusion. |

I'm waiting for responses... to this survey.

If this is important to you.... If you're about to give up a home, or a lot of money, or just about to give up hope on fair trade..... We can send a message together, with just a little from each of us. Sign in to the forums and join the movement. Pledge a little for legal, if you can.
http://www.saveouropenspaces.org/forums/index.php/topic,14.0.html Giving back a sim would save you some money, but Linden might make more with the comp. If we let this continue, it will cost a lot more if we stay in SL. It might happen on another grid, too. This could make a difference. |

I think the interview with M Linden says it all. Any concessions gained by all the upset and protests are likely to be pretty minor. The price hike is obviously set in stone and going to happen. As are guidelines and quite likely punishments eventually for offenders.
I saw some possibility for educators to get a break but its a case by case basis. Think SL is gonna be stuck with it. |

Just waiting
11-03-2008 23:53
I'm not angry .. i'm waiting.
LL are discussing, but not via this forum (weird). They are holding Concierge meetings and the occasional inworld office hours and you can bet your bottom dollar that they are having talks with the big estates with a lot of financial clout such as Azure islands and Dreamland. On that note, I asked azureIslands what they were doing and it was 'we're waiting to see' |

Gone past anger
11-04-2008 00:00
Have waited for a response from them but it is absolutely clear they intend to do NOTHING. On that basis, I choose the option to remove my business and my project from Second Life. I have asked them to explain the term, 'owner' that use for us and they simply cannot, because no explanation exists.
Vote with your feet and hit them where it hurts. _____________________

Resigned....
11-04-2008 00:47
Yes, was angry.
I do like this form of "dialogue" through outside media, while we sit here twiddling our thumbs..... Explains why the blog comments are switched off, so this outpouring of the community isn't searchable by google and the likes. It is sad that this is seen as a "test of leadership" for Mr CEO. As far as I'm concerned its an F minus. I just feel sorry for the innocent hard working Lindens, who make this place function with all its quirks. The guys tending the server farms, the guys behind the magic that makes all this happen, the unsung heros of LL, all their hard work is being <bleeped> up a wall. Oh, yes, we need to improve the newbie experience.... get more <bleep> in to fleece. I don't wish to denigrate all the hard working Lindens. I am grateful for the experience, and the array of new friends I have gained here thanks to this platform, and am sad to see this happen to it. ....slips back into resigned sadness |

If we let this continue, it will cost a lot more if we stay in SL. It might happen on another grid, too. This could make a difference. This is the lawyer that is running an anti LL website and group now? The one that had the ad farmers sending people to violate the TOS/CS and potentially get themselves suspended and possibly banned? What is wrong with this picture? Lawyers do not lead protest movements they are preparing to file lawsuits on behalf of. And this guy originally stated it was pro bono and now they are spamming for money? People really need to begin investigating who they are becoming affiliated with and get to the real controllers and find out what the motivations really are. Your rights as consumers and all but I see a lot of people that are blood drunk with rage that are not thinking things through all the way. If that is what you want to do then fine but donating money to a lawyer without an rl contract for legal services? Hmmm... Good luck with your effort. I do think soliciting for money to sue a company on that company's website is out of order. I am baffled that a lawyer would have people out doing this. |

Blog search switched off?

I concur with you on the experience having been wonderful! I have really enjoyed my time here. But, like so many, I made what I believed to be an investment in something I wanted to be part of and I did that on trust. The investment is down the drain now for a huge number of us.
I will be updating the Spacexcape website this evening and the five subsidiary domains that we own to relate this sorry story to the world and will link to this blog. The website gets on average 3,000 unique hits a month and I will be changing the tone of it from the positive inviting experience to one that I would definitely not recommend to anyone. I hear a major newspaper in the UK is about to run a story too! Will keep you informed on that! So much for democracy huh? Yes, was angry. After the announcement that they have hired Big Spaceship, or whatever the name is, to handle the newbie experience, I've lost hope that LL will be thoughtful and reasonable. They want, may well NEED the extra money to pay for this new outfit to come in and do the work.
So, now, I am sad and waiting for a response. Already, my bum is feeling sore. |
