I'm sorry, what about effective immediately don't you understand? Ask people who chose to buy a sim because of the non-profit benefit if suddenly paying doube, and then another 50 on top of that is reasonable and something they considered when buying.
I could be wrong but "effective immediately" on price increases applies only to new sims. Also you can still SELL your sims to other residents and transfer them to other residents you just can't have the payor be someone different than the owner which doesn't seem like it makes any difference at all.
Had someone two months ago talked to you about buying an educational sim, would you have said "Oh, well, LL might revoke your non-profit status and tag another 50 on for good measure"? Be serious.
Well, when I bought my sims (not non-profit) I did discuss that exact possibility with my business partners because we knew how unstable and erratic LL can be. I admit newer residents might not have know this but anyone over 12 months old should have realised it was nearly a certainty that some crazy thing would happen in the next 6 months.
Nor was there advance notice on the change in land transfer. people invest in land in SL in case you haven't heard. Their ability to transfer what they purchase effects their decision to buy, believe it or not.
I think you misunderstand the change in transfer rules.
And, frankly, two months is not a reasonable expectation of use before your land almost doubles in cost. Come on. $75 to $125 is a reasonable expectation two months after you are locked in by a non-refundable setup fee? Please.
So what would be reasonable? The main reason I ask is because I think this is the main piece of information LL needs. Because it seems safe to assume they must change the price so now the only question is when and how.
