I am willing to bet there are, by far, more users wanting Edit on the right click first screen than the second. This is the worst "improvement" EVER.

the regions all around the one I am in are disappearing until i teleport into them. When they vanish I can't walk across into them. I can teleport into them from the map. Something is really borked here that wasn't borked before.

Didn't the Imprudence viewer do the same, put the edit option as a sub choice of more, before LL did, as part of their attempt to improve the UI?
I take that adding an additional choice to the pie menu is not an option. _____________________

Weren't LL going to STOP making arbitrary changes to the User Interface without getting user input first??
What was the JIRA number for the change? What was the JIRA priority on this: Showstopper?? Critical?? How many user votes did it get? Was THIS the most urgent item on LL's To Do list? Nothing else of any higher importance in JIRA perchance? WHY is time being wasted on making the User Experience WORSE for us when there are more important items needing real fixing? (Tools menu fiasco anyone??) Sheesh, someone needs to learn how to prioritise their program of work and release packaging proceses. Ang |

VWR-8080 is nearly a year old.. There are a couple issues related to Edit being moved but they seem to have gotten dup'ed to the meta issue.. Er.. _____________________

VWR-8080 is the JIRA entry that brought in the new menu layout.
I linked to the meta just because there were too many reports to choose from, JIRA gets stampeded with near-dup issues because no one can be bothered to learn to search. |

I think the idea is to make the interface easier to use for people who aren't going to do much building. Potential users, from the hoped for business and educational markets.
They might not be succeeding in that, as well as annoying current users. I take it that you can't add an additional choice to the pie menu, that the pie menu is maxed out with it's current number of choices. _____________________

It looks like it may have been more of a defaults thing, to make clicking on an attachment look the same as clicking on the bare mesh. I guess that would be less surprising and easier to explain to someone who's new to the platform, but this looks like it could be one of those situations where a little bit of surprise is beneficial.

got the new rc (fored into it lol), first thing i tried to do was move my huds back to their normal place...
took me a while to figure out edit had moved grrrrrrrrr Then i tried to search for my store (has the word sex as a keyterm) but im told community standards doesn't allow that word. So until LL decide where theyre going with adult verification I lose all those customers who use RC? Super...  And yes my info is on file i can see the naughty stuff lol. _____________________

I'm so sick of hitting appearance coz that's where the Edit menu has lived for ages...it's really annoying..
I'm so used to where certain buttons are, I don't even look at them and clicking them is like second nature. Change it back! |

Would it be possible for a customizable pie menu that users could configure based off of preset check boxes in a preferences tab? I am fairly adaptable but this particular change is difficult for me.

"Take Off All Clothes" used to be on the first piece chart level.
Then they hid it. They will not be reverting back this edit choice. They want people to not care about editing. _____________________
