Heck... even Steve Linden seems to have avoided the issue through 2 release of First Look and blog comments asking about it. I know... I've asked and seen no reply. :(...

Can you blame him? With all the changes going on? Shakeshead...... :(

And... yesterday Robin finally posted about it being a "feature" coming to the next release of the main viewer. Of course she claimed the system can't handle the old way... but... I find it funny... the system is doing it rather "fine" inworld.
They need to scale, but don't know how so they're looking at/for features to kill.

Less features = less database load = less load with the same concurrency = same load with higher concurrency = "We can scale! See, we told you we could! Aren't we the best?"

I'll pay your electric bill and your internet if you can manage to keep 4 clients logged in for a whole month camping 24/7 .

Done. Is it retroactive? You can pay my electricity and cable internet for the last year.

Not retroactive :p.

But I'd love to hear how you manage to stay on the grid during (un)scheduled downtimes, even getting unseated for 1 seconds would put you short of your L$288/day every day claim.

1) The sim I am in has 0 unscheduled downtime. It's not a sim running 40 camping chairs. :)
2) And I do have a vendor selling things, so on average I have made over the L$288 / day, despite grid downtimes, time to deposit to Ginko, etc.
3) The missed time is insignificant towards making money. As I'm putting the money into Ginko and not relying on it for income, only making L$200 one day and not L$1152 isn't a big hit (think about it, that's the difference of what it costs me to buy lunch).

Oh, and I am against camping chairs, their existence is a bane to the grid. HOWEVER, I have no issue with using them, because if I don't (and get paid for it), someone else will. My use or non-use is a nul issue. I have no problems with catching the money people willingly throw into the street.

I did say 24/7 camping... it wasn't even in fine print! :p

That's only true if the total number of camping chairs on the grid remains fixed. However minimal, you're contributing to the belief that camping chairs pay off/work (for both land owners and campers), leading to more camp chairs being put up.

Whether you do it or not is indeed a nul issue, but the reasoning behind does make a difference overall.

Anyway, way off topic :p. *looks for a pitchfork and joins the protest to keep the transaction history in world*

9..9
24/7 means "all the time" and "all the time" to me would still allow for stand/sits but not a jaunt over to Vixen's for a dance and contest.

Money being thrown out a window is not something I am in charge of, that's the landowner's business. Catching it is something that happens as a result and has no effect on the effectiveness of the toss, be there an advantage to camping chairs or not.
As it has been shown, one needs an entire sim to be "popular."

But what the heck, I'm a bandwagondragon.

Back to the original topic - as of right now, the web transaction history is up to date. It appears that whatever they did worked. Let's hope it lasts so we don't suffer later when the in-game transaction history is gone.
