I've been searching for a while, but I have yet to find an AO set (for walking, standing, maybe flying etc) that I first, can preview, and second, like.
The more sophisticated onces seem to animate more than pose (when standing), and the animations flow into each other.
I'm aware of Reel Movement and LostDog DNA, but the former didn't inspire me, and the second doesn't have a preview stand (and L$1100 is a lot to spend sight unseen), and apparently has a stretching and yawning standing animation that bothers everyone.
So what AO set(s) do you use, and what is it about it that you like?
Personally, I'm looking for something a little seductive and confident, without being over the top (like that free "sexy walk", LOL).
Thanks, Love.

Animations Warehouse has a gajillion designers that almost ALL have previewing stands. Personally, I've sort of mixed and matched my AO. I have several animations from one designer, and several from others. It's very much a personal preference, and to be able to see a bunch all in one place gives you an idea of quality. I spent days working on my AO, but heck it's fun.

My AO started with a set that I bought at Reverie ages ago... the walk is sexy without being over the top. I've recently customized it (using ZHAO II) with a few new stand poses from Reel Movement, a couple of poses (fly and fly up, I think) from Fi5th Order, and a male hover pose from another place I don't recall the name of at the moment. I love the new ZHAO, I like that you can add more than 5 stands and randomize their order.

MY AO is a combination of Torrid, Abraminations, Digital Dragon Designs, Reel Movement/Expression, and a Neko AO.

Hmmm, the mega store has an AO loaded into two different types of shoes. No mention of "Urban Groove".
But I did find it at the Paw Paw location!
Thanks! Love

Thanks! Love Interesting effect this AO has on the butt... Anybody use anything from Sunken Heart? Though I'm not one, the Kajira AO pack includes 57 animations, and many of them look useful under certain ... circumstances. But some of the animations look pretty general purpose, and not bad to my untrained eye. Love.

I built my own AO out of animations I liked.
I have never found a packaged AO that I was comfortable with, despite spending a lot of time looking.
I know what you mean about the stretching and yawning animations. I really dislike them, they look like the person you are talking to is bored or has overdosed on sleeping tablets.
If you want to IM me in world I can send you some suggestions

I think its older than that. I was given one very early in my tenure in SL and I joined in Aug 05. I don't think the sugar daddy that brought me in was still buying me things that far along. Probably not past November 05. I still use it too because nothing else walks quite like this one. I've wanted to customize, spent a fortune doing it, and always end up back with the urban groove back on. Oddly, I have a friend who loves it but won't get it cause she doesn't want to copy me... gotta luv her Char

As with most of the other posters, I too have assembled my AO from a multitude of different animation creators. I use the Amethyst-modified Franimation script built into my collar and have never used a complete set. I guess that's one of the true joys I find in SL, finding an odd stand, walking, running, sitting, crouching, etc, pose that I can add into my AO. As a neko, I tend to look for ones that fit how I see myself (em, as my SL-self that is ), be it sortof laid back or adorable. The other thing that I specifically look for are stand poses that are of low-enough priorty and have the arms and head free so that I can see my avie type. Yes, I am weird that way in that I *LIKE* to see my avie's typing animation when I am typing out something to chat. I like the message that it converys, that I am indeed "speaking" to someone and not just ignoring them. I also like to see my avie's head move around as if she is hearing others around her. That and her ears from Anisa, that have a capability to perk when something is heard. Anyhow, as others have suggested, look for Animation Warehouse. They have lots of different makers with lots of different animations. Good luck! -Bri

I'm giving away a free preloaded ZHAO-II on sl exchange that i expanded a bit by adding a /kiss and a /hug, so in total it saves the average newbie three body attachment slots, and body attachment slots are an even more valuable thing that prims on your land (ok, at least for girls) search for my name on sl exchange, right now i dont have a freebie box in-world.

I will check that out later. I currently use the Pre Loaded Outrider Zhao, which I like except for the Stand on tippie toes stand, but I'm too lazy to bother to do anything with it.

Vista Animations has an awesome one with 15 stand poses. Just be sure to follow the directions to change the bendover pose, which is dorky.

My Ao is from Vista too and I like it a lot. You can preview it and don´t have that annoying stretching animations or looking at the nails that others have, and they have nice prices too

I'm using a newish one called SEMotion. It's similar to the ZHAO, but a little less fussy perhaps, with a nice, clean menu driven interface, and three full sets of walk, stand and sit poses, which I can either set, randomize, set in a certain order, change the cycling time and so forth. A very nice gadget, and nice customer support too from Marie Sims.

I have my AO loaded into a HUDDLES HUD...it actually lets you switch between several AOs, as well as easily accessing dances and other animations. There are a boat load of other functions, but I haven't played with it as much as I should.

Love AO's

I've got 4 different HUDs I use LOL I just create my own with animations I find from different places. Animation Warehouse is a great source just to find venders because they have a smattering of venders in one huge local.....Reel Expression has cool stuff and Devil's Moon/Abramations... I'm always always searching for different animations and messing with the defaults in the ones I use. In the 8 months I've been in SL I've noticed a definite improvement in the over-all quality of movements being offered. I agree that yawning/stretch AO is annoying, tho it looks apprapo on pregnant AV's LOL
