Do your RL friends (if you have any) laugh and make fun of you when you tell them you live your life in a cyber world or do they (as true friends should) sympathise with you and take you seriously? Do friends and family do enough to make people realise that RL is what matters?

/me considers the OPs last thread, then assumes from the wording that this is a trolling

Nope, Dirt, but is that what they do to you?

Yah, it's a matter of life or death to cats.

How else to they always land on their feet?

I'm not one to evangelise. I don't push my views on first life or second life on other people. So I don't bring it up. I don't believe in forcing topics upon others, which they have no interest in. I know my family/friends well enough to know that Second Life is such a topic.

Do they give me the same courtesy? Sometimes. *Most* people will push their views onto others given half a chance, in my experience. I've gotten very good at nodding politely (even in text).

I nod politely at work when something I might say may mean being fired. I'm a man of principal, but I'm also a realist... and I'd prefer to be able to pay rent next month.

As for others, I prefer to be blunt. I don't tolerate people trying to force their views on me, and I make sure they know.

I don't spend a massive amount in SL anyway, and half my friends are gamer geeks anyway, and quite a few of them already spend more time in SL than I do.

I don't mention SL at all to the non-gamer geeks. They'll just say that I need to have a first life first, before I can have a second one. :P Sez them, spending all evening glued to the telly.

BTW hello everyone. I couldn't find an "introduce yourself here" forum so I just dived in.

That's cuz we are not really suppose to have any "general chit-chat" or "off-topic" type threads here, but.............
