Hi fellow slers, well british telecom turned the phone off, but left the internet on, but the engineer didnt turn up this afternoon to put the new connection in the other flat( Im jinxed at the momment, but i have to report some good news, oh by the way, we do have a poor credit rating, thats why we are lilmited to the electron account, we have tried other banks but they turn us down 6 times over a period of 3 years, because i dont work any more and my partner does unskilled jobs which dont meet the minimum fund level to allow a better bank account...

Ok had message from linden labs (a tiny one), saying everything looks good, as i asked it to be reactivated again, seems my prem payment of 7$ was paid out by my bank yesterday. but why it was rejected on the 9th god knows..

I managed to go inworld today yipee! and managed to Im lots of people i know!!
i still have a few thousand lindens, my slex account came up striaight away

I have had a good look at the site and found several outlets in my home town of Blackpool that i can get this prepaid visa card, so i sent a message to paypal asking how i transfer the funds from it to my paypal account/ havent heard yet, but i did get a letter from paypal saying my account was being suspended because i had used paypal out of the uk( i havent been abroad for several years lol )and they have tagged it, inviting me to log in to resolve it, but im concerned this is not a gen paypal request, its all the more confusing as my papypal account is at the same email addy. I have sent the page and asked them if thi is what caused my bank to reject the SL and paypal transactions, so im wating to here, if its a genuine email from paypal. here is the notification, might be of interest to others too, as no idea if its spoof or not!!!!

As you can see BT are also giving me grief, they cut my phone off, but left aol running, but no engineer came this afternoon to put the new line in......so have to go to a payphone wednesday and find out why he didnt turn up!!

Im going to come in world for a while, but of coures BT may cut the entire line by tommorow.. grrr why me, and i wanted to hold my birthday party on the 25th May at our Sim.

I have not given up yet, and if i have to, for the time being i will send you real money towards the tiers, by recorded delivery or something similar, but hoping this prepaid visa card will do the trick!! I may still be able to send paypal funds to you as your uk based like me....if we dont meet up in world, contact me at the addy i gave you, and let me know when its due and how much, and i pay you....I dont want to lose what we just bought as much as you sweetie!

Hi fellow Slers, friendly greetings, No, Im not Torry Linden, its me from an internet cafe
near where I live!!

After moving to the next flat across the corridor, I set up my comp, as normal, connected my AOL. This was Monday or Tuesday, because the engineer, to put the new phone line in, failed to turn up.

But unfortunetly the AOL connection failed, and only 2 lights were showing on my router, instead of the normal 4 ish blinking. After doing all the normal checks, I had to ring AOl customer/tech dept, to find why it didnt connect!!

The rep, said although its the same tele number, i have to do 'a home move Activation"
for you, ok, so i said, can i just change locations, oh no!, we have to do that, ok I said i will wait, how long to do it??

Imagine my disbelief when he said 14 DAYS! yes, thats right 14 days before i get any service, because the line has to be dedicated, its separate from the phone it seems.

So the earliest i will be able to get back to second life will be 28th May.

So, again i apogise for the nightmare problems to my friends, but i cant access any AOL mail until then, if u have sent any, im sorry, but i have been unable to read them.

I will come by every other day, and see if u have left any messages, Susan, please email that addy, and tell me when our tiers are due, i got a reply from paypal before I was cut off, and they said the prepaid visa card should be ok to use, as long as its got 14 numbers and a ccv code number bla bla! So going to check one out at my local outlet, the bank still hasnt replied to the complaint about the disputed paypal payments, looks as if i will have to chase that up again!!!

My Birthday is the 25th, Im so sorry i couldnt have a party on our sim but I will when I get back (praying to allah, and anybody else higher!!) i will try and invite all that contributed help in this thread. SO, anybody thinking of moving, and use the telephone line, it takes 14 days to activate it, i had no idea!!!

Michaelatv try Capital One they have a UK branch also and they give a visa check card also try other online banks some of the Euro banks are REALLY bad banks ie bigger thieves then youll find anywhere lol.

I think ing.com has online banking now to.

I hope ya get the bank mess sorted out

Hi mich the tier is due in 15 days i think the 2nd june but now my problem i cant afford to pay the full amount, if we dont get the cash by then i will have to abandon land i have an MOT and car tax to find by the end of may and also i have a plumbers bill so unless a miracle happens the sim will be reclaimed, so sorry. Good to hear from you though, i hope ur doing ok hun keeping fingers crossed ur back b4 then, unless i can do rental homes on your side now to make a bit of money as the land is just lying there idle, its up to you
maybe allow a months rental homes then when we are back up and running again not allow any further rental period have a think about that as a solution for the next month......let me know asap

Susan, Im sorry you still have RL expenses, me too, i have the car tax end of June, but Im hoping to be in world by 28th May, if not before, if AOL gets it done sooner, its not always 14 days im told....I just wish i could let you have all those homes and stuff in my 7000 items in my inventory, for you to deploy, You have my permission to put anything on my part of our land, if it will help us, but you still havent said how much you need for my half lol Theres a good possibilty i could pay a little more! have you got in touch with Rhianna Loam yet, shes already payed her part of the tier into the sim, Im sure she will this month again, just explain whats happened, dont panic, just yet love.

But send me an email Susan, obviously this not the place to discuss money matters, I looked for a reply just now, but havent got one from you yet.

I now have found out, that it takes 20 days to do a house move, is that the norm??

Depends on the provider and how much work they have lined up for the crews. If they are understaffed and over loaded it can take time, otherwise it's usually it may take X days and they get it done sooner
