put on skirt.
rebake
go into appearance - rebake (while in apearance) - SKIRT WILL DISAPPEAR
come out of appearance
rebake
go into appearance 2-3 seconds
come out but DO NOT rebake
should be working
if not, repeat 2-3 times if necessary. i had to repeat twice with my alt, but all my skirts work great now.
it's the rebaking while in appearance that seems to reverse the issue. good luck.

Three passes through this circus act, PLUS one final rebake after that, and the skirt that did this the worst for my one alt finally seems 'fixed'... for now... Not holding my breath.

Disappearing Skirt - RESOLVED Well now this was the most disappointing thread I'm sorry to say, similar workarounds have been posted to the Jira, I thought you were going to announce that they had finally, well, you know, resolved it from your title? If the skirt is mod, you can simply adjust and resave it from appearance, it's only if it's not mod you need to put it on while in appearance then exit or whichever kludge works for you (there's a whole list of them on the jira from the many months this problem has existed). http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2778 _____________________

That seriously sucks because it was my alt shopping for wedding dresses...biggo bucks and now borked tsk. Ive never suffered from this skirt issue before this viewer...so ive now got the skirt borked bit solved..but only for any i DID NOT try on at the weekend boohoo _____________________

I remember once I was setting up the skin for a kid avatar, and was just getting ready to get dressed. When the sim crashed. Thinking it was just a crash on my end, I logged back in, and got dumped into some strange sim in the middle of a crowd of people... That naked 'little girl me' *flew* as fast as she could to the nearest bush, then slapped on a preloaded avatar that I knew would rez fully dressed. Thank heavens no one seemed to notice! Still I TP'ed out of there ASAP. _____________________

none of that works for, tried the one from the OP and the skirt keeps disappearing at the end, it is there for a second or two then gone

I know I had a problem with a shirt I made, I had to rebake 3 times.. then finally it rezzed.. I was walking around shirtless for a while.. doh! and a friend of mine downloaded the update and she said everyone she saw was warped.. avatars were messed up with heads between their legs.. But I saw her and she looked fine, excpet she was wearing a skirt on her head and had no hair. |

I posted on a similar thread to this a week or two back that going in and out of appearence and putting an alternative skirt on, then the correct one back on, worked.
Well it did for a while (until a tp or ??? lost it again) but then not so well, and now not at all. I'll try the fix suggested above, and I hope it will work, but I've a horrible feeling that it will slowly become less effective after some time. Tima |

Thankfully, the closest I've come to that is in the morning a couple times when the home sim was down, and I've rezzed in world in a welcome area in my jammies.
