Yay!!!
It is now 3:35 EST - I will be there in about 3 to four hours depending how quickly my slave driving boss let's me go! Say 7:00 EST or 4:00 PST? And I am not terribly punctual so feel free to pop in any time- when I come in I will drop so LM's on you- I am not sure but I don't think Terminus is listed :(

A

Heh, well have fun. I'm not actually out of work by 7pm EST. heh.

As will I. Though two nights ago I "went to bed" at 4am. Last night . . um . . was it 2 or 3am? And I should mention that when I stated that I would "still at work at 7pmEST", I'm in the Eastern Time Zone. Um. heh. EST is actually Eastern Standard Time. Oops. I didn't notice until I saw EST and then ETZ. heh. And we have spring forward soo . . um . . did we enter or leave daylight savings? Is it now EDST? Eastern Daylight Savings Time? Got to love it, they change something as simple as the time every time you look around and how to describe how to describe it. Might be closer to 18.35 when I get off work, as opposed to 19 hundred hours.

.....
I now keep her against the day that I might have to deal with a big bad idiot griefer....

OK. There are other reasons.

I bought some land on the Western edge of Amida, with a Linden paved road and bridge on one boundary, and Linden protected water on another boundary ( a bit extra up front, but the tier is the same).

And across the water to the East in Gualala sim (143, 28, 26), there is a 1/3.048 scale model of Berkeley CA.

There's a subway in it, but a normal avatar can't get in the entrance, nevermind down the escalators. In fact, even a tiny has to use cam to see the pipes in the ground. Hmmmmmm :)

SL!! GOTTA LUV IT!!!!!

Tiny Haruhi gets in NP!

Down below, there are machines, maps, timetables,.. probably an exact model of the real thing.

But so small, even Tinies have to use mouselook!!

And on the street, Tinies can be HUGE!!!

Asides:

a)
The photos ere taken with the latest RC.
The same photos in the latest non-mandatory client - which has whiffs of Windlight - were horrible. There's probably a JIRA on this, but ... usch! = searching for it!!

b)
When I pulled the Tiny folder on to myself, ET's legs were sticking out under it. AO off, all the usual.. but nothing would fix it until I TP'd out of the sim and back.

That is very neat, I need to go visit tiny city. :)

B - May or may not apply, but I've found that script off areas cause me to have that problem. I have to leave and come back for the avatar to appear normally.

Look what OnRez has :)

http://shop.onrez.com/item/233321 Great for someone wanting to tryout tinydom :)

So cool - a tiny party tonight - I will let y'all know when I get in-world - please give me suggestions for what would make it a cool place to explore. I am having great fun doing stuff but honestly, if I'm the only one that looks at it there ain't much point!

When going Tiny, I highly recommend getting a camera adjusting HUD so you can actually see where you're going. The one I use is on a wall in Extrovirtual, although I don't believe Wynx made it.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I get this with my tiny AV - just walking usually fixes it.

I'm occasionally a quad tanuki (actually, a raccoon av 'cos I couldn't find a tanuki), which puts me nose-to-nose with most tinies even though I'm a fair bit bigger. I've seen even tinier avs (teenies, maybe?) that I think work by pushing the avatar underground and putting a prim shape just above. Whatever - it wasn't done with invisiprims and I don't think there's any way of crunching the ava shape down to 7cm tall.

As a quad you have to live with the fact that most animations not in your AO will do weird things to your shape. I got mistaken for a rat, a fox and a bear(!?!), and trodden on once or twice, but it's still fun because people treat you so differently. In my first couple of days a few people had tried to adopt me as a pet, and I received plenty of fuss and cuddles.

Oh, and I HAVE to check out that tiny city.

There was a thread about this really tiny micro avatar. I saw one recently and it was really really tiny! Like 6 inches high. I believe it was a wolf furry or something and he wasn't covered in an invisiprim. So how exactly are those made? Where does your avatar go?

From what I've read, it sounds like the real av is shoved underground by an AO and the micro 'avatar' you see is actually a separate prim attachment. I think the underground avatar might be covered with invisiprims as well, so you can still fly around and such without seeing it.
