Tinies

On a similar not but honestly, for enlightenment... what constitutes Tinies? Are they human or furs or both or anything as long as they are small? I don't think I have seen any tiny humanoids -no kids either for that matter but since I stay in mature sims for the most part, that I can understand. I have seen small fur people as well as human sized fur folk and even some fish as well as the occasional dragon... Where do tiny folk go?

Tinies are generally non-human. The reason is probably because if you made a human one it would either look like a child or a dwarf. There are human type tinies such as a Darth Vader tiny avatar but by and large they tend to be animals (mine is pink bunny rabbit with diaper, bonnet and pacifier ).

There used to be club called Club Tiny. It may be reopening in the near future.

One place to start exploring Tinies might be Willow Creek Mill (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Raglan%20Commons/28/94/22). I think the thing in common among tinies is the quite contorted animations that fold the avatar in on itself in order to achieve the small size, and Bloodsong Termagant's "TAO" at that location makes tiny limbs and cam behave as if, well, tiny. You can use your regular avatar to see how this is done, but you'll look really silly.

I've got a tiny oriental doll avatar.
- It was either that or a tiny Elvis, and she won.

She has difficulty going up steps.
She doesn't go dancing, as the animations make the crushed ET shape inside her try to escape. NOT nice!! Sort of Aliens on a loop.

I now keep her against the day that I might have to deal with a big bad idiot griefer.
Bad things coming from a tiny doll must be so much worse than bad things coming from an ordinary avatar.

A Tiny Cow?! I would love to see that! My nickname when I was very young was 'Petite Vache', (more as in little brat..) Udders had nothing to do with it.

Amaranthim, just search 'Tiny' in groups if you're interested. I can suggest one group, Huggy's Coffee House which is very friendly. They have movie nights, etc.

People do react to you differently as a tiny - if they're even able to see you.

Cool I will go by. Will tiny poses work on fur folk then? or is tiny even smaller the fur people? I don't mean Nekkos and anthropomorphic animal forms, I mean small, fur avies - maybe quadrupeds...?

I've been a tiny human. I appear to not be able to find a picture of me in my tiny human avatar. But I have been a tiny human. I have a tiny dragon and a tiny dinosaur, but don't have pictures of them either.

My tiny fur kitty is actually not a tiny, but a foot or so taller than a tiny. That tiny fur kitty is the one I use as my avatar on the forums.

Where do tiny folk go? Where ever they want to go.

Being a tiny, I don't have any cultural identity that makes it necessary to hang just with other tinies, and only rarely have I received the kind of bad vibes that drive furries into making their own sims. As we're a tiny fraction of the SL population (no bad pun intended), the only down side has more to do with just the basics like sitting down properly (sit targets are generally made for normal sized AVs), animations or attachments that don't work for tinies or otherwise deform me, and stairs that my tiny peg legs can't readily climb

I am not certain what you are asking.

Tiny animations will not work well with full size furries (you mention having a tiny ballroom dance, stay your normal size and use the pose ball . . don't worry, you will spring back up to normal size when you get done looking like a squashed you).

Most of the time I am some form of kitty quadruped when I go the "furry" route (for many months I was that slightly taller than tiny biped furry seen in my avatar picture on the forum, I do not think I have a full-size furry, though that is not a quad). As two of the women at the Forum hangout can attest from personal experience (I just remembered another quadruped that danced besides myself, so that is three women with personal experience), quads can use the "normal" size dances.

Oh, and another thing about quads. I know one quad that measures something like 6 feet 3 inches, or something like that. And he isn't six feet tall, just six feet from . . um . . ok six feet long.

The quads that I have seen, unless they were specifically made for a tiny quad (which I have seen, once or twice . . I think), use the "full-size" shape and not a tiny shape. There might be one that uses the tiny shape, but I think that one uses the "full-size" shape.

You mean when you were a tiny? heh. I've seen you in a tiny shape at the forum hangout. That is a tiny. The "tiny" you saw me in is actually taller than you were. Maybe 3 inches to a foot taller. I point this out because poseballs built for tinies do not work for me as well as they do for "correct" sized tinies. And the full-size poseballs also do not work for me, as I am too short for them.

You can leave the horns off...it's basically one av with various accessories, depending on whether you want to be male or female. I think it's the horns, udders, neck bell, and nose ring that you can change around.
