Broadly offensive: shouting clubs and casinos on the mainland (they're fine in their own sims), full-bright buildings, adfarms, 1024x1024 solid-color textures, invisiprim boxes sitting around where someone "dropped" their shield instead of "detaching" it, tubgirl bombs, opera, punk rock, rap, and "Winter Wonderland".

Isn't Broadly Offensive another way to say ethic values?
Many people are offended by "ethic values"... Think about the values of that "God hates fags" crowd, for example. Their claim is that their ethics are of a higher order than anyone else. In reality the broad opinion is that they're simply hateful. So, their idea of "righteous living" is broadly offensive. (>_<;)

Broadly offensive is anything THEY do that upsets US as long as WE are the majority culture.

==================
I'm in a blue mood today.
WE do not even have to be the majority -- WE just have to yell the loudest.

For me it is broadly offensive for one party to initiate force against a person or their property.
This includes governments. So I find busy bodies to be broadly offensive. I find any one who says "There ought to be a law" to be broadly offensive. 99.9% of politicians are broadly offensive.

I've pretty much upped that to 100%

Hard to find something that almost everyone would consider offensive. I've not yet come across anyone who thought that urinating on someone was an ok think to do....but, maybe if they were on fire and there was nothing else available? Who knows? Could be a cultural norm somewhere.

Popcorn, without butter is broadly offensive.

I find this broadly offensive. How dare you assume everyone likes that disgusting butter ooze all over their popcorn!

I still give Ron Paul the benefit of the doubt.

Isn't that a firework?

Ok - I won't go googling.

I find bullies broadly offensive - or even just _very_ offensive. That and people who build all over the water in SL.

Oh, and also anyone who is cruel to children or animals - I can get _extremely_ angry about that!

I guess it amounts to a detestation of seeing the vulnerable exploited in any way - and don't start me off about the government!

Sadly, too often true.

It's an interesting question, but ultimately one that doesn't get us very far, because what is "offensive" is too subjective.

Yes, this. That was the point of the discussion. Often the words BO are used as if EVERYONE should agree that such-and-such is BO, when in fact its purely subjective to the individual.

Point made :)

All right-thinking people know perfectly well what's broadly offensive and what's not.

Why do you even need to ask?

I find twizzlers to be broadly offensive.

I trade ya my twizzler for some milk duds, sugar babies or Ike & Mike'. Preferably the hot tamale flavored.

You need to hit the Sensations shop.

Main competitor to xcite, their basic kit is a lot cheaper, and if you dig into the menus...

I find this scoring business broadly offensive - a narrow value judgement.

I'll make that trade!

/me loves twizzlers!

Recently I had the opportunity to try the Red Vine things, I've always heard those were better than twizzlers but they've not been available here.

I guess maybe it has to do with which you had first? But I found the Red Vines to be too soft and an unpleasant flavor.

Give me my twizzler any day! WOOT!

Let the flames begin...

But do they provide a particle effect? (I make no comment on the quality of their animation.)
