wow... torley was just about the only thing about their communication that worked... As quirky and odd and overly-happy as Torley was.... I liked the guy/gal. HE/SHE was IMO the epitome of an SL user! Every video he did was like a new user discovering something new & sharing it with the rest of us. For LL to drop Torley would be a big Mistake!! _____________________

Thanx for caring and asking — thanks Katt for the links, and thanks to @gwenners on Twitter and others who pointed me here. I'm around but I haven't posted much to the forums in awhile (I used to post like craaaazy, tho). This is due to a sad lack of clones AKA not enough time. I'm looking forward to posting on the new blogs, see http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/10/23/update-on-linden-lab-blog-revamp/ for official update on dat. But in the meantime... I'm making new video tutorials! http://secondlife.com/video is the easy link there. We have a NEW player with SEARCH... at last. Outside of Second Life, yes, I am doing broader blogging and educating people on how to make better video tutorials/screencasts. I thought, "Wow, I learned a lot here at Linden Lab and we've set quite an example," and have been asked for tips beyond. If I can make any of the good stuff I <3 sharing easier to find, let me know. Some things can never be easy enough, but I'm happy to help you have a happier Second Life! Again, I appreciate each & all of you asking. @Marianne: Yeah, I'm still active fulltime @ LL. And as Katt mentioned, I'm busy on external networks like Flickr. It's intriguing what a few words/thingies posted publicly can do for positive perception.

Great bump Rafe! For many Torley is the quintessential Secondlife greeter-helper. When so many Lindens were only occasional appearance makers, he was most peoples first encounter with lab staff. With Torley, everything was fun, and everything was possible. Season's greetings Torley, here's a truckload of watermelons for you.

Torley sleeps with the the fishes. Leave the gun, take the watermelons. LOL, I just watched that movie again for like the zillionth time recently. Making sure they took the cannolis always cracked me up. Another line I liked was when Michael was going to do "the hit" the man who gave the gun to him said "I left it loud to scare away any pain-in-the-ass innocent bystanders." _____________________

Torley's videos and this forum were the main ways I learned how to do things in SL. Interestingly I was having trouble sub-dividing land recently I knew how to do it but couldn't figure out how to make the plot I was selling just the right size. I thought I must be doing something wrong, recalled Torley has a vidtut on dividing and joining land, and cruised over to it. I always love his "Friendly Greetings!" He sounds like such a happy person. _____________________
