I don't want to violate TOS by giving details, but a quick Google will show that Torley's still very active filling the SL experience with green and purple. That's good to know. I was just noticing his absence from the Linden Blog..and wondering why. I liked his posts. _____________________

Torley disappeared from public view as part of the new, all-singing, all-dancing, souped-up communications from LL to us, which I have to admit are rally stunning. One new blog a week, if that.

Kinda weird, since Torley was always so decidedly pro-SL and happy-happy joy-joy even when there wasn't much reason for joy at the time. (Don't get me wrong, I loved his vids dearly!)
On the other hand, maybe they do wanna look more serious and go the corporate route. And maybe the suggestion that SL is actually easy and a lot of fun doesn't sit too well with that. _____________________

Checked I still see them maybe I am imaging things? http://torley.com/ I went had bit hard time find the old ones but it did take me to official site and to this http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Video_Tutorials Here Torley says he finally got his own island named Here and is showing videos too there. Nah, Torley is still about.. just muzzled until they redo the blog as they promised. Which will probably happen a bit before the forum makeover.
Once the blog is redone, I firmly expect it to be green and pink for a couple of weeks as Torley plays catch-up!   _____________________

Pretty much. It's been how many years since they've promised to fix the forums? And now they're reducing the blog's use.... We even had a scheduled date, October. *Looks at her Calendar.* That was the last word from our Communications Manager..*looks at her Calendar again*...about 10 weeks ago. I don't know when it changed but I miss his blog where he was more
philosophical and gave advise,etc. I liked the Tree story, Chop the Slop,etc but I haven't been able to find that again but I was up all night watching his videos on Youtube has tons there and most were created with SL version 1.20 and older. There were others that were over 5 months old too and numerous one's I hadn't seen. It does seem maybe they thought they use him to educate and draw also new residents by having him at Youtube. _____________________

Funny thing, considering this thread... did his homepage always wear the header "Torley lives"...? If I remember right, it has for at least more than a year. He never stopped posting pics on Flickr & Snapzilla, and if you are a subscriber to his YouTube channel, you get the updates on a pretty regular basis, so I never even thought he "went anywhere". I wouldn't have noticed the Linden Blog thing except this thread popped up. He's having fun & still active. visit Here island (his land) in-world sometime. _____________________
