Try Second Wave Apparel (well done casual), Callie Cline, Stiletto Moody, Maityera (check spelling), Yuli, Nicky Ree..... Join one of the many fashion groups, they are great for finding any style you want. |

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

Eeek, don't get Ann started on Stiletto ![]() Ok well first of aside from the fact that Stilletto Moody is expensive shoes (which I adore), not clothing (although they did just add some lingerie, correct?) I haven't heard Anns beef them. Now I'm curious. _____________________

No Agreed. We had a wander through, and I thought their entire range was a load of old nonsense. _____________________

Now I'm curious. Sleazy business model; Overscripted; Mostly stripper shoes, albeit for the well-paid in that field; For the non-stripperish shoes, similar style/quality items can easily be found elsewhere for half to a third the price. _____________________

I'm bothered by Stiletto's garish soles (the bottom of the shoes, I mean). At a distance, they seem to be the most visible part, especially if an AV is dancing or moving around.
For my money, Shiny Things and Maitreya, anytime. EXCEPT! Yesterday I came upon a freebie at Maitreya. Their Limelight model in 'zebra'. What an absolute horror! It utterly underscored my point that the habit of giving away crappy product is a sure way to hurt a designer's reputation. I'm not saying that people should give away their top product in order to show off their stuff, but surely it's wiser to design a freebie that is representative of their quality. Had I seen these marvels on someone before ever going there, I would have given Maitreya a pass. _____________________

They're supposed to represent the Christian Louboutin shoes, which in RL have red bottoms and are very chic and expensive. _____________________

Made your point. I agree many are stripperish, and I stay away from those. Oh wait, I do own 1 pair, however, I did buy them on purpose at one of their sales for a reason - to be stripperish lol. I specifically wanted a pair of F-Me shoes, since I can't wear them in RL at all. So sue me However, the new boots that came out about a month ago? The texture is amazing. And I have yet to find basic pumps with as wide range of colors, which look half as good on MY feet. I usually wait until one of their secret sales, when they are 30% off although I did pay full price for the boots. I've looked elsewhere, at many of the stores others have mentioned over and over again but just haven't been thrilled. To each their own I guess. _____________________

Elora, try KSG Shoes. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Aloha%20Business%20Park/168/213/23
Ever since I discovered these shoes (and they have a beautiful blue peep-toe freebie), I have been in love with them. I've bought 4 or 5 pair now. If you'd like to see them on before actually buying a pair, IM me inworld tonight and I'll be happy to show them off. _____________________

Actually, I know them - I have that blue peep toe and I do like it. I'll have to go back and take a look around the whole store, I haven't been there in a very long time, since I got the free shoe. Thanks for reminding me about them I never used to be a shoe person at all, people used to make fun of me because of it (Brenda particularly if I remember right), until I discovered Stiletto, and a few other places that made some really lovely boots (I do, enjoy boots!). I also need to take a look at your shopping blog! I totally forgot you had one also. I sort of remember looking at it when I first came here, bookmarked it someplace and it got buried in my regular email. Glad that you gave yourself a little plug today to remind me of that as well! _____________________

Many good answers here. Thanks to you all!
To add my two cents about Stiletto Moody: overpriced. Anyone who has shopped around knows that their shoes are too expensive, even when you consider color-changing. _____________________
