Hi everyone,
I am coming back from a trip in Paris and fashion wise, I am a bit inspired by what I saw there. I'd like to reinforce my wardrobe with more clothes that are classy and a tad formal, yet feminine. So far, I had much more casual material than anything.
Apart from Armidi, which has an amazing selection of trenchcoats, and Shiny Things for shoes, where do you suggest going?

Nice to see more female AVs opting for the classy look. I also prefer 'casual chic' over formal looks or the ol' hooker wear. Try SLink for a few nice separates, such as her new blouses and a really stylish short leather jacket. A few dresses there, too. Join her group for a nice discount. Maitreya for high quality pumps and stilettos, of course. Truth, WRONG, Muisim, DeLa are also good. Retrology and Ivalde for retro stuff. Emery and Persona for separates. I think the trick for the look you want is how you combine your outfits and how you accessorise. Mix and match! A torn pair of jeans with a super deluxe blouse can be fantastic. Understated jewelry and shoes that don't glow are also a must. Most important, however, is the technical quality of the design. Doesn't matter how elegant the style, if you end up with blurry edges, seams that don't match, colours that look flat, lack of detail, collars and cuffs that don't fit, you might as well be wearing freebie gear. Even Armidi's had some major prim disasters. Avoid pants that don't come with separate cuff prims I often wish higher priced items were available as demo

try Gibberish...i really liked their range of unusual outfits & seperates...quite different and chic, there is a suit (shorts & jacket) rather Parisian i thought Jaywalk...renown for fabulous shoes, now has a small selection of seperates...again stylish & different, very detailed. Savvy Avvy...has some chic outfits also for women...not slutwear AT ALL and musnt forget Indyra...they DO have some more revealing outfits but also a lot of other gear, again great detail , femminine...well fitting, I prefer her pants suits to skirts though. (never can get her skirts to fit any shape i own lol) Happy shopping!

In addition the great shops already mentioned, be sure to try Casa del Shai also. She has amazing gowns and lingerie, but best of all is her casual clothing. Extremely hip and stylish, some come as outfits, others as separates. She has a large men's selection, too!

I have a variety of different things, never know, might be something there you like
(I am not a big time seller but I feel myself has quality that is as good, if not better than, some of the well know designers)
I strive to make my seams match, put the shading and highlighting where needed, etc

Ask me nicely to make something just for you and do whatever you want for donations to cover upload cost Sometimes it takes several tries but I like making special things for fun.

Nonna Hedges is a couture store. I purchased my first evening gown there. Nomine - I haven't been there for awhile but I think carries very nice clothing. But *definitely* check out Nonna's!

I also prefer classy attire -and quality is very important.
I started searching SL fashion blogs -and really found some excellent shops based on their recommendations (Giusa, Cachet, Republic to name a few). I have found that once you have some very basic mix & match items, a lot of accessories, and great shoes, you really have a lot of possibilities. And dont think that some of those higher end stores with big prices are actually better. I have found some fantastic moderately priced items at some tucked away mall shops.
IM sometime - I love a shopping spree!

Went shopping with the ol' ball and chain this weekend Indyra's Originals struck me as a something you might like. Certianly not your typical blouse and a miniskirt that many places seems to make.

From: Aebleskiver Thibedeau Ce Cubic Effect: Very classy casual prim clothing, with lovely textures and finishes, and sophisticated colors.
I like their work, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they sell everything trans/no copy when virtually all of it is so prim heavy...waaaay too easy to screw up while modifying a piece and be left with no back up.
