Top Five Reasons Why Res. Ans. Needs More, not Less, Clarissa

You're a bad liar. Like Clarissa, you have a very strong opinion, and you are actually good at showing that with tongue-in-cheek remarks.
But having a strong opinion doesn't make you a bad person. Instead, it makes you a valued sparring partner to those who RECOGNIZE your value. Those people who MATTER, whether you agree with them or not. And I'm hoping Clarissa secretely reads up this thread, since it applies to her as well.

Clarissa is not only a person who genuinely wants to help, she is one of those open-hearted souls who always gives the benefit of the doubt. If I was ready to consider someone an a-hole, Clarissa would give some reason that could explain their bad behavior.

It always struck me as incredibly ironic that SHE was often the target of accusations of bad behavior, or that when she was falsely credited with bad attitudes or malice. Of all the people!

And then that silly "people who should get a life" thread - good lord. An exercise in absurdity, throwing rocks at two women who are dedicated to helping other people.

I can't blame Clarissa for wanting to throw it all over, and I doubt that anyone in particular will pick up the slack. She put time inworld with perfect strangers, trying to get them on their feet, moving them past obstacles to their experience of SL.

I don't blame you, Clarissa, for feeling angry and hurt. If you need to take a break, do it. Be good to yourself. Take a long bath, a long walk, whatever will make you feel better. You could come back and just hang out in the undying thread. We all know who you are there.

She is always here and her posts are almost always a valuable addition on any subject. like most people I do not want her to go. The OP is right: We want and neeed her back! now this is what we can do:

- Someone here who wants to make some " we want Clarissa back" shirts?
- Flags, banners, posters
- Demonsttrations
- petition device, go door to door inworld
- line up a lot of sims on the world map so it reads "Clarissa come back to RA, We miss you!"
- Organize sit-ins at Prime Linden locations so that LL has no choise but to support us by using the Message of the Day to raise more awareness

If all that doesn't help............ we start begging?

I have only been in the forums for a short time, but I have enjoyed private messaging with Clarissa in here. While I think it's lovely that there is so much affection poured upon her to come back, I feel that if she wants to leave that is her choice and it is my hope that no one pressures her into staying. Please let's not be selfish, folks. This isn't about US--it's about what CLARISSA wants and needs right now. I'd say more but I havre one cat lying on my chest and another with his rear end in front of my screen so I cannot even see what I am typing LOL.

I hope she will realize how well she is liked and what an asset she is to the forums. I also hope she won't stay away.

This resumes what 99,9% of the residents think: “who the hell is Clarissa?”

Then 99.9% of the residents would do well not to waste their time reading -- or commenting in an unnecessarily disparaging way -- upon a thread that should neither interest nor concern them.

To answer your original question, however: Clarissa is a highly-regarded and much-liked RA forum regular, who has announced, to the dismay of many of us (as you can see from the thread) that she is not going to be posting here anymore. We are hoping to dissuade her from that.

It's cool... We all a little sensitive right now... Clarissa is well known on the forums.

I was ready to walk away too recently. Thanks to several kind IMs, I decided to return myself. This is a great thing you are doing for a valuable person to this forum and I hope she responds.

I hope so too! I am very pleased that Jig's "don't go, Raymond" thread DID succeed.

We need more Clarissa, but a well-rounded forum needs its hamsters too.

I just asked because as many out there I didn't knew her, so when I open the forum page and I see someone stating 5 reasons why the forum should have more Clarissa it's very natural that I question about

It was very sweet of Jig, but that was not the reason I returned. It was IMs and PMs, which is why I sent a PM to Clarissa.
