I can't find the references to the house tour next Saturday. I have the notecard but have a quick question...it says to send back an SLURL. I have a stupid question...can I just paste in a LM to the skybox when I update the notecard and send it back?

You can drag a landmark to the note card. Then click save and send it to JK.
Or you can stand where you want people to land, click MAP on bottom of your screen, then click COPY TO CLIPBOARD. then close the map window. Then up at top of your viewer, where it says EDIT, choose PASTE (into the note card), save the note card, and send it to Joshooah. HTH BTW the forum parties thread here also has the info. _____________________

Hey Jackie ... yep you can embed an LM into a notecard .. just drag the LM onto the notecard or copy paste your slurl ... whichever is your preference. You can embed lots of stuff into notecards like objects, lms, other notecards etc that have the correct permissions ( I cant' remember if they have to be full perm). For those that didn't see the group notice for the cartel home tour, look out for this sign at the Forum Cartel Hangout. Click the sign to get more information and how you can sign up your house for the tour. You can get the same notecard from the group notice history or just IM me and I'll send one your way. We still need volunteers and everyone is welcome so don't be shy SLURL to the hangout: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/162/35/37 ![]() _____________________

I'll post signs all around on how to use the in house TP pads, plus the external ones so visitors can see the swimming pool and the ground level as well. Nobody will be there unless my friend Roxie is around but that's ok with me My signboard will describe the features of the place and anyone can contact me with questions the next time I'm in world. Thanks! _____________________

I said I'd like to participate and then forgot yesterday when I decided I wanted to do something different and tore out everything on the ground level... I don't know what I was thinking. (Actually, I have a mental picture of what I want but I seem to be having a hard time making it happen.)
I'll fiddle with it later today when I can log in, and of course I could still have people up to the skybox though it isn't much of a much. (I'll get the notecard sent back early this coming week when I get myself sorted out.) _____________________

Gee - do you think the sign will show up well enough? I don't want to be the only participant . . . ![]() Don't worry Weston, we've got a nice diverse set of homes to look at so far lol. I think we so far have about 14 places that have sent back info or have said it will be coming shortly. The more the merrier though so lots of time to still volunteer. Should be really cool and fun for all and thanks again for everyone volunteering their places!! We're still looking for people so anyone interested feel free to hit me up with the info from the notecard. ![]() _____________________

Hi folks, just a quick reminder that today is the last call for sending info to me for the Forum Cartel Home Tours on Saturday June 27th. I've received notecards from, Gabriele Graves, Seven Okelli, Weston Graves, LeeLee Szymer, Lelia Wakawaka, Rock Vacirca, Ashe1 Writer, Ghosty Kips, Victor1st Mornington, Bodhisatva Paperclip, Melita Magic, Carter Denja, Litta Nightfire & Cee Edman, Jackie Silverfall, Soen Eber, Nic Writer. If I somehow missed or forgot you on this list, could you please send your notecard again to Joshooah Lovenkraft. If you still want to volunteer your home, you can grab the notecard to fill out at the Forum Cartel Hangout http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/162/35/37 or look in the group notice history and return to me asap. Please send me an IM or forum PM if you have any questions.
I'll be sending all volunteers a draft copy of the schedule tonight (Wed) just to make sure I didn't mess up their listing. The final schedule for the event will go out to everyone in a Forum Cartel group notice on Friday evening and will also be available by clicking the Home Tour sign at the Forum Cartel Hangout http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/162/35/37. We're got a really nice, diverse and interesting set of homes across the grid with most available for tours all day long. Volunteers will be around throughout the day to show you around their homes and answer any questions so it should be fun! Thanks again to all the volunteers for their hospitality so be sure to come check things out on Saturday. ![]() _____________________

Sounds like fun and it looks like a good turnout! _____________________

Unfortunatly I have a wedding this saturday in SL, so can't come along or participate in showing my place. (Unless crashing a wedding would be a fun way to end the tour lmao)
ow well, don't have a 'home' anyways hehe, but would've been cool to see how others live. I wish you all a fun tour!! _____________________

@ Benski: no worries at all, rl comes first! perhaps we can do it all again if this works out.
@ LeeLee: sorry about that LeeLee, I'm not sure how I came out with that name lol. Will send all volunteers a draft later tonight just to make sure I didn't mess anything else up. @ Jackie: no worries if you can't be there Jackie as some other folks won't be able to as well. Each place will indicate the best time when it is open to the public and when and if there might be a host to show you around. I'll be sending a draft to everyone later tonight just to make sure it has all the correct info. _____________________

I'll send you the notecard if you don't have it already and if you can flip it back my way when you get in world, that would be great. Thanks for volunteering. _____________________

I had a bit of trouble finding Seven's place. The landmark threw me onto a ship. Could be SL acting up. I found it by showing it on the big map, and then following the red beacon. Well worth finding.

Well worth finding. ![]() LMs seemed to work for me ok. I jumped all over Seven's bed and messed it up and saw her house in progress which is looking really good. Ama and I were complaining lag is just killing us both today... I'm still working on getting to everyone's house after I get a bite . If folks can take pics that would be great cuz my graphics card is not playing well today. Prezzies at my house on the 2nd floor too ![]() _____________________

Sorry Joshooah - I was at your place earlier poking buttons and clicking things, but I didn't take any pics. (I'll just claim I was distracted by your tornado... lol) Met your partner, Dexter - such a cutie!
Carter's place and Stormy's garden were just amazing - such attention to detail! The music was a nice touch, too. Jackie, I love what you've done with your place. You've made a very comfortable place to be and share your SL. Gabrielle, your place was spooky! Nothing jumped out and attacked me, though, so it's all good. ![]() I was on my way to Seven's when I stopped to talk to Brenda and then RL called me away. (I saw the helicopter landing pad and just knew whose it had to be...) I'll try to stop by some more later this evening. I just love seeing where everyone lives. But I have to admit, some of the homes I've seen so far make my little place look downright cobbled together by comparison... _____________________

Well, daggone it. I was going to be on hand to host, but we've got t-storms rolling in. I'm going to shut down my computer, but folks are still welcome to stop by. I may be on later tonight after the storms roll through.
I hate it that I'm missing a chance to see everyone else's place though! _____________________

Despite my crap graphics card and SL being particularly wonky for me today, I was able to make it to all your homes! Thanks so much to all the volunteers for graciously opening up their spaces for us to see. It's particularly cool to see the diversity of places on the tour, from the small spaces to the large. Such talent and creativity to be seen! I'm not sure if anyone else had slow rezzing problems but using the alpha snowglobe viewer helped me some https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/technology/blog/2009/06/24/snowglobe-10-now-available. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pics as it was making me crash and sorry if I missed you visiting my house and couldn't greet you. Hope that those that were able to make it on the tour had a fun time. Just a few quick comments for all the participants. If anyone took pics, post them for us in the forum cartel flickr group if you have a chance
http://www.flickr.com/groups/forumcartel/*Carter Denja: Very nifty hangout with some great furniture. Garden was lovely and I loved the stream you were using .. very fitting for the environment. Jackie Silverfall: I'm always wanting more prims and you did a nice job of making a nice skybox with a great view. Cool pool too on the ground level. Gabriele Graves: Cool spooky graveyard, hope you didn't mind me laying in your glass coffin. Thanks for the poem rose! Seven Okelli: Hope you don't have to wash all your sheets as I bounced all over it. The skybox house will be really cool when you're done and looks like you're doing well with structure. very cute! Awesome pool and I LOVE kitchen!!! Nic Writer oh love the garden and cool plants. I liked the coloured and organic feel for them. Always nice to have a ground level place and a private skybox! Thanks for the elephant tour Litta and nice meeting you during the tour Cee. Everyone must try the zip line, it's awesome. Whimsycallie Pegler I ended up in the water but flew up. Love the ethereal look of the place. Definitely has that lovely child like fantasy feel about it. Looked cool at midnight. Ghosty Kips. Lovely relaxing garden.
