This is going to sound silly compared to the other great listings here but I wish someone would build a Jetsons Sim. There's a Flintstones but I'd love the Jetsons. The funky 60's style futuristic look that is unrestricted by true physics is perfect for SL.

I'm giving another vote for Nexus Prime. The sewers alone will take up a full day.

[nerd alert] Your worked on it? Cool! What did you do then? [/nerd alert]

I'd like to know that too! BSG is my fave Sci-Fi (Bab 5 a close 2nd); I named 12 of my sims after the 12 colonies last year, and still have Caprica and Tauron, tho neither has any BSG content, I'm afraid.

For a great post apocalyptic feel check out the Wastelands and connected sims by that team. Primarily a resi sim they manage to maintain the theme very well.

I ran the 2nd unit film crew for the 2nd season. It was a blast. Great crew, great cast.

I took 2007 off to learn new things but will be back at work in 2008. Not on BSG, probably on a feature and probably as a sculptor this time.

Thanks everyone for these great suggestions. Lexi you rock!!!

For BATTLESTAR GALACTICA RP on SL, go to a sim called BSG47. It's home to BATTLESTAR PACIFICA, a fulltime RP sim. Trust me, whatever I say, it wont capture the experience so just go there yourself to marvel at it. ;-)

You can play pretty much everything you want including Viper pilot, cylon, politician, reporter, civilian, etc. And yes, we DO have very intense dogfights. But trust me, it's only a tiny part of playing at BSP. Anyone who wants to do RP in the BSG universe, that's the place to go.

End of Commercial break.

I just spent a couple of hours there on a guided tour. Unbelieveable! I'm ready to sign up for pilot school.

Dont forget the alcyon shipyards - the ships have to be seen to be believed... make sure you have a lot of land at your disposal if youre going to buy the bigger vessels though. And I have to concur with the person who mentioned Nexus Prime...

...dont go into the sewer network alone though

SEWERS? Cool, I LOVE sewers! :D

That does sound like a blast! As I'm doing conventions as a lecturer, I'll probably meet some of the actors next year (looks like Nicki Clyne, Leah Cairns, Jamie Bamber, and Richard Hatch right now).

And Lexxi is such an intrepid explorer it's unbelievable-her Flickr account is one vast inspiration! :)

I can try, but a lot of actors have these PAs with them that insist I pay them money for an autograph, even THOUGH I am on the guest list myself (And I don't really like to tell them every time "Well, you DID me see up there on that bloody stage with your boss and a dozen other people earlier today, right?" :D )

If I get two, you'll get one!

you should make them pay you for listning to your lecture if they were in the room for free while you gave it :)
