Ad farms yea right. They suppose to have cleaned up that mess but did they? NO, oh they did a few but not as many as people think they did. Just like everything else LLABS says they are getting rid or stopping. They stopped when people started to bitvch about being unfair........Nothing changed.......

I have to agree. I don't understand those who continually post hostile posts about LL, SL and the people in these forums yet never post anything constructive. I'm not one to coddle LL, but if I didn't ever have anything positive to say or any enjoyment I'd just go read a book or something.

Of course, it's pretty hard to prove *any* kind of intent, in any case. Nobody can get into someone else's head.

Yes, you're correct. I think some of the banlines we've seen go up are forms of extortion and a person can extort without saying anything. In this case, however, it looked to me like a legitimate advertisement space. Ugly, and I wouldn't want it next to me, but I wouldn't want a billboard in my RL backyard either.

You cannot extort without saying a word. If the person suggests to you that it would take a significantly higher number than your offer to part with the land, you've got your evidence of extortion. If you just hate advertising in general, and they are a bona fide advertiser, you just have to deal. It's not extortion.

If they don't want to sell... they will choke on the tier in time, and they will either abandon the land or price it to sell. In the meanwhile, get on with your second life and enjoy it instead of worrying about your dubious neighbor, who is slowly dying on the tier vine.

If you prefer to use a different word because nothing was stated then go ahead, but I'll still stand by my statement that extortion can occur through pure action.

As Desmond said, I'll agree, and you seem to be in agreement as well, how can you prove what is inside of another persons head? I'll also agree with you that in only the most extreme of cases there's probably not much you can do about it and you might as well just get on with your life. Proof will be very difficult and maybe impossible, but that doesn't mean the person isn't acting with ill intent.

A great little company there brought a huge block in my sim, skinned 30 16m plots along the road edges off, then sold the guts as 512m to landbots then put high speed spinning for sale signs up asking $2k for each 16m. :/
Time to leave the sim I think, I'm thinking of writing Adfarmers suck on my 8000m there in 16m plots then selling all the rest off in 16m pieces, except there's still one resident in the sim who is a good guy. I would have brought all this land except the fruitloop mall owner who karmically is now surrounded by adfarms wouldn't swap the 4096m encased in the corner by my land for 6000m surrounding his mall

One AR = very little can be done.

Lots = action.

Simple. Have an AR party. Get EVERYONE round. Get them ALL to send an AR. If they get 50 at the same time all complaining then there can be action because not only do they have justification they can't ignore 50 at once so easily.

Sorry if this is making work for you guys but I have empathy since I am working under the same constraints when there is a complaint against a trouble maker at work.

Frankly, the ToS does state that property and assets can be taken from users under cretain circumstances. ANYONE still flauting these new regs should have their land confiscated and put up for auction. It's only when these idiots have something to lose that they will stop doing it.

And find something worse too probably.
