OK...i think its time to start one of these again. Let's just post something positive toward another person or SL or whatever just to counteract some of the ick that tends to come out in the forums...:)

Mine would be to thank all of those who contribute opinions and comments to these forums in order to add value. I have learned sooo much from reading these and it helps me understand opposing views as well. it is always great to see support and encouragement offered and thanks to all who do this...and you KNOW who you are...smile. Keeping comments in an objective vein and debating for the purpose of sharing is to be applauded! You guys have seriously educated me more than any sim, exhibit or notecard anywhere in world....so THANKS!

I want to thank those who contact me privately to let me know I am not alone.

It helps a lot, a whole lot, and you know who you are. :)

On the whole I'm pretty positive about SL and LL. I tend to look on the bright side.
I know there are problems and issues from time to time, but that's not unique to SL by any means!

I love Second Life - on the whole it works well for me.

And this forum is generally a friendly and helpful place too.

So, just a big thank you to all involved!

I'll buy that~!

I've met some fantastic folks vie these forums and I always get great info and advice when I pose a question. Over all.....my experience is pretty positive with SL as a whole.....and any crap I may have to put up with is really inconsequential to the big picture. I've been able to do something recently, because of SL......that I probably would have dragged my feet on indenfinitely if I had to rely on RL resources. I started my gallery for my mom's art.....to support MS.....and it's getting great feedback already. AND....it's also inspired my sister and brother to get involved.

My sister was just here with me....I showed her the gallery with my mom's art hanging on the walls......and she cried. SL has the potential to have amazingly positive impacts on people's lives and I choose to keep that attitude in going forward and remainng loyal to my SLife.

Real life can be 10 times ickier then SL will ever be......and IRL there's usually not the fixes that there are in SL. There's definitely not a convenient forum to jump to when RL offers up poo.......more often then not, we're on our own solving the larger dilemmas in life. So.....bravo SL and bravo forums. ;)

I'd like to send kudo's to the live SL musicians of all genres. Getting and keeping a draw is just as hard for them in SL as it is in RL, if not harder. Performance logistics are mindboggling, especially if they have no one assisting them on the computer. They wear their hearts on their sleeves so that we can have the gift of global music.

Also, content creators/fashion designers. My SL shopping addiction is kept alive with your incredible talents. I am clueless as to how you make this stuff, but PLEASE don't ever stop! :)

The best thing I have found in SL is my lovely Elora. No one has made be feel as desired, loved or appreciated, with a style, humor and patience that is all her own. I am the luckiest man in the world, and if it weren't for SL I would likely have never met her.

I want to thank the Linden's for improving SL to the point that 86,584 people are now on-line. This is a NEW record and everything seems to be working pretty well!!

I'd like to thank all the 'icky' people that post vitriol and blather on these forums, for hours of free entertainment while I and others laugh at them, and providing simple examples of how not to behave. seriously.

heh I always said that about hubby, but I think people got tired of hearing it after over 2 years of saying it... so I just say thank you to all those who show me I am not alone.

congrats to you two by the way. I know how scary and exciting that first step is.

How Very Interesting....but I've seen this phenomenon once before.....after the King of Ick spreads Ickiness on everyone, and someone defending him starts a Positive thread.

But we all have our own definition of Ickiness.

My Positive Cheer goes to all those who were called DH's (and that doesn't stand for dear hubby) in the other thread, and stood ground, and for setting an example that one can stand ground while being Icked.

Another Cheer to those who contributed to this thread, in a genuine manner.

And another Cheer to anyone who might be hurling at the moment. I'm there for ya if you need someone to hold your hair up while you hang over the bucket.

We all have our own unique methods of "encouragement." :)

That is so wonderful and inspiring! It's so easy to get bogged down in all the surveys *chuckles*, bot discussions, "Is it cheating?", "so's your mama" type of things that we (at least I from time to time) forget the fabulous things going on in SL, like what Milla is doing.

Add that to the annual Relay for Life, creators who build entire cities that I will never be able to see RL, the ability to find a class, a discussion group, a friend...most anytime day or night and SL is a pretty terrific place.

And as far as this forum, I want to echo that I learn sooooo much here from all of you. Thank you! :)

My good cheer goes out to anyone and everyone who posts here (and, indeed, in any forum) with conviction, humor, and/or wit.

For me, how something is said greatly pales compared to why something is said. Everyone's personality is different, not only from everyone else's, but also in how it is expressed to different people and in different venues. However, why someone says what they say reveals to me much more about who and what they are all about. Unfortunately, that's generally pretty hard to discern from a few samples in any particular venue.

It's why I don't use simply what people say in any one venue to try and understand them, even if it is all I have to go on.

I'm much more interested in people's actions and intentions; words, as always, are cheap.

Awwww Rha... after all your worries last week that really sucks. :( Hope you get well soon.

And I'd like to thank...

Torley Linden, for making my SL better with his very amusing and helpful videos.

All the knowledgeable content creators, whom I have contacted with questions, who have responded kindly and informatively, whose conversations I have enjoyed very much.

The forum regulars for having a sense of humor (MOST of the time).

The old SLX staff, if they haven't been sacked yet, for their prompt assistance with issues.

Those kind souls who maintain beautiful/interesting public sims at their own expense, like Svarga, Numbakulla, Ruta Maya and the Rainforest, for everyone to explore and enjoy. (I miss Privateer Space. :( )

Thanks malia

yeah I was worried over nothing, but hell I am a worrier

now with this cold, and the possibility that my platelets are dropping again, and add to that excessive fluids (which thankfully do not seem to be harming the heart and lungs)

I am walking basket case waiting to fall apart

I do want to thank everyone for being who they are, the happy, the sad, the grumpy, the argumentative, the everything, thank you!

Well...

I cannot formulate my thoughts any better than Ghosty did. Unknowingly he spoke my heart as well as his own.

Bec ... my Heartbeat.... from as deep as the spark at the core of my soul I thank you. I cherish every fleeting moment that I can be here and feel you by my side. Through the miles and the wires and the waves and the encryption and all the other countless technological bits, I feel you. You complete me, you validate me, you revive the long-ago beaten and strangled spirit inside.

I shall never be able to repay.

I'd like to add my congratulations to all those possessed of remote telepathic capabilities, with the ability to discern why things are said, and who and what people are about in the forums, and their intentions, without taking much notice of the words and how they are said.

Pep (Perhaps it's just the old dragons who are able to do it? :p )
