People don't need to have millions of dollars to have a good time. All people need is enough money to own a shelter (not a mansion), a car (not a Cadillac or a Lincoln) that will get you from Point A to Point B, and food to eat. People don't need big things to have a good time. I hope Barack Obama does something fast, but it may already be too late. Maybe Barack Obama could issue a "charismatic" speech and inform Americans that "big bucks", and big items are an obsession that has been ongoing for decades. Times have changed. We are heading into the 2010s, folks! If it means Barack Obama having to suspend mortgages and recall any luxury cars that exist and receive a fair amount of money in exchange, and pay enough money to condemn any mansions or mammoth-sized houses, then he should do it. Excuse me, but i am late....building and all, you know how that goes... Are you kidding me? My household earns an 'average American income for a 1 income family of 4. and I could care less if my neighbor sells insurance and rakes in a million dollars a year allowing him to afford his luxury cars. What business is it of mine. What the hell do you hope Barrack Obama does? Rip away the history and values this country was founded under? They had a socialism choice back in 1776 and went without it. It's disgusting that Obama is doing this to our country the same way people found it disgusting that Bush was suspending Habeus Corpus for detainee's, giving Haliburton kick downs and everything else. What does heading into 2010 have anything to do with what is happening Pyrite? If anything we should be expanding freedoms, reducing the tax burden on the individual and moving forward in this country as one people wanting to achieve something better for ourselves and our children. What has someone in a Mammoth sized house or mansion done to you that you want the homes condemned? Why do you hate rich people? _____________________

Why do you hate rich people? Guess it's misperception on my part due to my autism. I don't mind rich people. They are friendly, and they are just like you and I. But I guess I don't watch the news enough. If I do, I tend to read into things a bit too much - including the blog article I posted a link to earlier today. I think the blog article has turned the thread into a heated debate. I regret reading the blog, I regret posting this thread, so I am done with this thread. Probably both. For some itis a cheap entertainment. But that entertainment is dependent to thoe who may be in the dispensible luxury bracket, sim owners and businesses who may not be able to to invest in SL during these times. _____________________

So you really don't think SL will get canned? And the owner of The Chilli Pot Bar was originally located on the sim known as Kissena Park. It was moved to another sim - Scotch Bonnet - later in January or early February. Maybe the owner of Kissena Park had to close the sim and The Chilli Pot Bar had to relocate to a more profitable sim in order for the club to survive? |
