Wow. If she really believes in giving everything away for free, then she should just keep the land and let someone else use it. Why sell it? Give your tier away for the love of it, then!

She should just give Phil the land

Because she loves giving things away. Just think of the love she will generate giving it to a miserable sod like Phil. :p

I haven't slagged her. I posted something that she wrote, which showed an odd way of thinking that I thought was interesting enough to post. If she was slagged at all, she slagged herself.

She needs the money to pay her bills and she can't afford to sell at a loss - she said.

It's understandable that we are reluctant to sell at a loss, but it's often unrealistic. Prices of things go up or down and the cost of land has gone down. We've had our pleasure with the land, so it shouldn't be a big deal to sell at a loss if that's the way the market is at the time. Usually it's only a few dollars loss, so it shouldn't be a big deal, and the size of this particular piece of land puts it in that category. She may manage to sell without making a loss, and good luck to her if she does.

I'm just writing rambling thoughts, so ignore them if you want to - too late if you got this far :p

Good morning, sweetheart :D

Just for you then, here's another rambling thought which will bore the pants of you and anyone else who reads it:-

I have an idea that I might know the land that she said I'd previously bought from her. It was another case of "I don't want to make a loss". The land was set for sale and I offered a lower price by IM. The girl said that she would need to ask the guy (her partner, I think). Soon afterwards, she got back to me with an acceptance of my offer, so we all got together while the guy set the 1024s for sale one at a time, and I bought each one as it was set for sale at the agreed price - except for the third (last) one. He'd set the price much higher for that one. He wanted to change the deal part way through and argued that he didn't want to lose money. I don't remember exactly how it went after that, but I do own that piece, and I think I may have met him halfway later on. I don't think I bought it right there and then, but I can't be certain. We certainly discussed it for a while, and I did buy it. He'd used its description to tell me what he thought of me :) But they accepted the offer and then tried to change it part way through. Not my fault, guv.

Anyway, it was another case of someone unrealistically not wanting to lose a very few dollars, and I think that the current landowner was a part of that. She said in the email that she sold land to me after lowering the price for me, so I reckon that was it.

Thank you baby doll :)

I think I know what you mean but it won't be necessary. I don't need the land. I only buy land in the sim because it's there and I have spare tier capacity. It has benefit to the sim in that, by buying land there, I do prevent new owners from building ugly stuff in it, or cutting it, etc.

oh shoot, just have a friend (or anonymous alt) buy it and sell it to you.
That's exactly what I did. I now have the land :)

Everyone would need to wear clogs or heavy boots if we have a party there - it's solid rock underfoot :) Although bikinis and boots do have a sort of charm, and I think that me in my pink lingerie and boots, with or without the stockings, would look good :p
