How many residents do you know, or have even spoken to, that have the same surname as you?

Actually quite a bunch because a lot of Dyrssens usually tell me "OMG, I've never met another Dyrssen before!" so I kinda collect them, lol.

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

I met one McCann on Orientation Island back in February of last year (we never saw each other again), then met another about a week ago.

My first friend on my list was a Robbiani. We were born around the same time and, back then, shared our notorious newb problems and looked for camp spots together. Now he is a DJ with his own club.

People with the same last name were born around the same time you were, so you share some experiences. That's nice. I met another Robbiani later, and we also became friends. She calls me sister.

I have *seen* some Sands' around but only ever really met ONE other-we ended up being friends and actually have the same RL interests and live only about 1 1/2 hours away from each other. AND we have probably even met in RL without knowing it. *waves to Cae, should she read this*

I've only ever met one other player with the Murakami surname. I think a lot of the ones who took that name when it was still available no longer play any more.

I've never met anyone with my last name. Somehow, I'd think it would have been popular, it sounds kind of pretty although someone here once pointed out to me that it also can be taken to mean "lunacy" :D

I only saw one person in passing in all these months with the same name but had no desire to walk up to them and say hi. Could have been one of those insane cousins.

Luna - Latin for moon...and to bring the point full circle - that is exactly where "lunatic" comes from - never go to a lunatic asylum on a night when there is a full moon.....

I've met one, over a year ago during my first month in SL. My partner and I were exploring this huge, deserted and dark house, the kind that has a couple of ballrooms and staircases that go nowhere.

Out of the gloom, this other Aster walks up to us and says to me: "Hello cousin." Then she turned to my partner and addressed him by his *RL* first name, which at that point no one in SL should have known but me. Then she walked away.

Fairly freaked out, we left too. And when we came back the next day, the entire sim had vanished ... it was just an empty square on the grid.

*Everything* about SL was so mysterious to us at that point that all this seemed pretty much par for the course! :)

None. I think they're all trapped in a box in the supply closet.

Yaaaaaay that's it, as Spanish comes from Latin, the meaning comes from it ^^ Take care with moon-a-tics :P

I've actually seen another Paperclip surname - must have escaped *grins*

I was looking for a Russian-sounding name to go with *Czari* when I joined SL. Had noooo idea I would run into Zenovka's on every corner. :( Wish I could change my surname now.

4368 Howletts in SL (according to slnamewatch.com) but I still haven't met any of them. The closest I ever came was when I was looking to purchase more land. There was a plot of land in the sim next to mine that was owned by a Howlett.
