My club and my sim got hit, and hit HARD by someone that was able to spam EACH person's name at my club and send out something WITH their name and you had to click on it, or relog..and even relogging, had a billion boxes...i know you cant name names here...which really defeats the purpose to me..but how can we stop this P N group? They have made MORE than a nuisance of themselves..they are screwing up ppls pcs!!! Any suggestions besides bustin a cap in their ass??????

Filing Abuse Reports and support tickets immediately? Multiple ARs from each person hit might result in fast action from LL...

Get someone with concierge support to get on live chat as soon as possible...

if it`s ur sim, u can easilly cleanup with the estate tools

The governance team pounce on situations where a flurry of ARs come from. Only thing you can do is ban them from the land/sim and AR them.

Posting their avatar names would do no good, of course, since they make a fresh alt each time they go raiding.

We can't post their real life names here either, because that's a ToS violation. However, the diligent researcher would be able to search for N3X15 in the Second Life Herald and find postings that reveal this person's true identity. It is he who creates a special client for griefers called "ShoopedLife" which allows them to evade the hardware bans, and the fact that he is still out there doing that is the reason the PN exist at all. Without him, the hardware bans applied by the Lindens would actually affect their ability to enter Second Life.

This N3X15 person, because of the hacked client he maintains and distributes, is arguably solely responsible for the ability of the PN to raid over the past eight months or so. I can't imagine what his legal responsibility might be with any accuracy, but I'm betting its substantial.

so there were 30 of us yelling this..how they did that, i dont know..but they shut us down for half an hour..i did file multiple ar's so maybe a linden cleaned it up, i tried, was impossible, couldnt delete the box it was coming from..man sure wish i could find out where they're holed up and bomb the place! apparantly they dont like lindens and furrys, well WTF are they even doing in SL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least one gadget I know of, the mystitool, has as one of its functions, "mimic". which allows you to choose a nearby av from a list of those in the immediate area and speak appearing to be that av. I'm not saying that this is the gadget that these greifers use, but it was probably a similar technology.

All in all, this group has been a problem in the past and is sure to be in the future. Anyone albe to find a JIRA entry relevant to Banning from parcel/estate by Group Name? It's a feature that is sorely needed.

Believe me, this has shocked me, also..im appalled at this behavior but it's reality! They are sending this to people and that's why they need to be stopped! I mean I'm no prude, but this is really bad stuff, and racist to boot.

If you were to search them on youtube they have a propaganda video. According to this video, they are an african american colored (I say this becuase I am not completly sure that they are all african american) group that are homophobic. They associate furries as homosexuals and target them. In their video they state that furries are the root of all problems and are completly dangerous.... The reason they fill the area with those boxes are to shut down/crash the sim. They are the very definition of griefer.

But of course if you had a brain, you would know that accusation is completly false. They are probably a bunch of immature teens who have nothing to do at night.

Pay them no mind? Ok, will be happy to do so once I figure out how to divert them over to brainy, tolerant souls named Ericka Nameth. Until then, will be looking for other methods, as should we all.

I don't know why you are so sarcastic Har.... while there is no concrete way to deal with griefers since alts are unlimited, I'm only trying to help.

The only other thing I could suggest, which would have to be a last resort is having an access only club. While it will prevent passer-bys from enjoying your club, it would prevent these ding-bats from ruining the fun for everyone. Hope it doesn't come to that though... I'll have to check out your club next time I feel like exploring (which is mostly all the time).

Probably I misread your meaning when you wrote "the accusation is false." Sorry. I tend to get touchy because there are so many people who post in these griefer threads advising people to in effect tolerate them or respond in ways that will predictably enable griefing. "Ignoring" them mainly leads them to find ways to grief that cannot be ignored - like the OP's experience, or sim-crashing.

Yes, messing with them - effectively, meaning disrupting their attack or making their experience unpleasant and/or humiliating, and otherwise taking away their "lulz" - is what is needed.

Informing "PNs" that everyone in SL knows they are closet homosexuals and they should seek therapeutic help might be a tactic worth pursuing - people projecting their inner conflicts on othersw do not like to see their projections returned to them. Just a thought.

Fundamentally, LL's response to griefers is inadequate and sometimes misdirected. It will probably remain a problem as long as there are unverified accounts, and may continue to get worse until that weakness is addressed.

Well, I can't exactly say "thanks for the pointer" as its greatest fault was being boring.
