It was a lovely place. I would sneak over occasionally when the residents weren't around with the Huey and fly about the area. It's nice to see it will go into good hands.

Its fantastic something that you started with so much obvious passion will go on being such a great place :)

Welcome to not worrying about making tier... :)

Spending time on real life is good if you got one of those things called a "real life":)

I keep hearing about this "real life" but personally I think it is a myth...or urban legend. :p

Thanks for the kind words, Claire, Brenda and Tiana. Brenda, your sig is typical you: high brow comedy.

It is starting hit me. Today will be hard.

Tiana, you are right, I did start with a lot of passion. It never waned. I hope I can bring that much passion to my writing project.

Late last night I saw a patch of beach that needed smoothing and went to edit the terrain. Then I realized I no longer have permission to do that. I think that's the first time it really sunk in that it's no longer my sim.

But that's why I'm so glad Avion got it. If it had gone to a broker who carved it up for resale, I never would have been able to go back there again.

Raymond, sorry that you had to let it go, but at least it's for good reasons. And, you couldn't have given it to a better person. Avion is sure to take good care of it :)

I agree. He's already got some great theme ideas. In fact one of the ideas was so good I almost stole it and kept the sim! :)

Just so everyone knows, Ray made sure all the residents were taken care of, so this shouldn't spawn any "evil cheating landlord" threads.

I'm totally excited to get working on it. You probably won't recognize the place. I'm sure it won't be better; just different.

My properties always have and always will be public, so keep your helicopter coming, Brenda. In fact, you should see if you can navigate between Liome and my places with the helipads in Nautilus -- I think it can be done! And it's totally fun to IM ahead and have people waiting for you on the roof: makes you feel like a VIP. ;-)

Although it's hitting you hard today, Raymond, take comfort. Think about the bank account and tier hangover I've got today! Not to mention the years it took off my life thinking I was going to get a 503 error trying to buy Lindens.

Sammy Thielt prepares Raymond a nice little cage with fresh woodchips, a clean water bottle, and a hamster wheel thats been freshly oiled for maximum speed.

Be sure and throw him some lettuce too,,, a hamsters fav and a freedom ball to run around in so he doesnt get in any trouble wondering the land. hmmmm they love cheerios too..
/me tosses the sugar coated ones at Ray
What the heck is going on no 503's yet today or am I missing something?

Congrats, Ray, but make sure that you stick around. SL is about more than land or building or business. It's about the great people that are here and you are one of the best. I suggest a life of complete SL degeneracy now that you don't have to worry about Liome. Explore, play, dance, flirt, and goof off with abandon. It's great.

I'm glad Avion got it. You put too much time and effort into Liome for it not to go into good hands and you know the quality of work and pride that Avion takes in his business. Liome will be well taken care of.

Well, I'll have to pop in as time goes by. I used to come by Devolin occasionally just to see what was going on, such a nice place to take a walk, but haven't done that in ages. This transfer seems like a good excuse to begin wandering around again.

I've been toying with moving from my place on and off for a while now. Avion's new venture could be one of the few that makes me finally change me mind, seeing how well he already ran Devolin.

That's really great Ray, congrats to you on the quick sale.

Yay for Avion for snappin it up! It's in good hands - can't wait to see what you do with it.

Big props to Rosie for being such a great asset to Ray.

I feel all warm and fuzzy over this whole thing! :D

Raymond, I think the resident answer is: you should live right here, and maybe become a Resident Answer Resident, dispensing quality advice from a parcel nearest your true hangout!

Once upon a time, it was possible to have your own subforum here. But sadly, since those days are long gone here's a parcel of pixelly ascii forum goodness:

There's a few plants lying around, and you can see a resident rabbit furry is sort of squatting the place but hey, hes' friendly, the place is free and you can develop it. It's roughly 700 ascii characters too - you can make a lot of things with that many.

Maybe you could set up a welcome and a Resident Answers help area on it. Enjoy!

ps: sorry about the glitch through the middle there, it seems it's crossing the continuous-character-filter border, which seems to be happening on larger horizontal forum plots. I'll submit an ascii-parcel jira report, and hopefully it will be taken care of...

Desmond, I love my new home! I always spent more time here anyway.

I guess I can let everyone in on the RL writing project I will be putting all my time and energy into now: It's to surpass Colette's post count by July 1.

And secondarily, to craft a post so witty it makes Ricardo reply with "ROFLMAO!"

Can you feel the love?
02-06-2008 11:13
This is a great thread. Lots of love and support, and compliments. Not a single flame. Even with so many people chiming in that its at 3 pages as I post this.

Wish more of the forum felt like this (and in world, too). This is the forum at its best, and I am happy to see so many familiar names. Many of you I have never actually "met," but I know you well through your posts, and your helpful answers to my own questions.

I had a very bad SL experience yesterday with someone, and reading this thread today has renewed my faith that there are good people in SL. I just have to remember to look for them.

Princess Ivory

PS - Ray, FD is right. Come to Faeria in Huin and you will be given whatever you need. We have lots of forest land for you to roam, and a waterfall with a mermaid pool if you feel like swimming, and I'm sure we can find a spot for your hamster wheel - we can plop it in a corner of our store, if nothing else, if you need a home! You can even wander the grounds to see our resident allicorn, Mary, as well as cows, sheep, and turkeys. And we have a palace, and...... can you tell I like it there?!

Heh thats because I flamed him plenty when Raymond first got the place!

In all seriousness... the only person I could imagine taking over Liome would have been Avion. Perfect outcome, congrats to you both.

I was thinking the same thing.

I have certainly had my off days here and have posted many things I regret. But since the new year started, I have really tried to curb the nastiness and argumentative posts. Getting the sweet reaction I've gotten since I made it public I was selling my sim makes me want to be even more vigilant and treat others with respect and appreciation like I am receiving today. No matter if the person is a friend or not. Or whether I agree with them or not. It also makes me want to get to know some of the folks I don't know very well a little better.*

It is one of the more aircraft friendly areas. I was able to get pretty far into the Nautilus areas before I hit a full parcel. If I have time, I'm going to give it a whirl tonight.

Liome Under the Sea
02-06-2008 11:51
I forgot I had these photographs in my Flickr stream. I sent them to Raymond when I first took them, and then forgot about them until now. They were taken December 17, 2007.

I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Liome's underworld. If you know me at all you know that underwater is my favorite place to be, even when dressed for an English Garden Party in my newest favorite frock!

Here there are:
http://flickr.com/photos/princessivory/tags/liome/

Let me know if you want to see them and have trouble accessing them.

Hmmmm, now that you mention it.

Hey Ray, can you spare a buddy some extra cash? I heard you just got a large deposit in your account.
