You know about moderators but not about trolling? Hmmm.... I knew what moderators were long before I knew what trolls were. In fact, I had to look it up. In all my years of public forums, I never encountered it till SL. Tried it once. But my thread kind of got hijacked. _____________________

It's a brave person who starts dancing in a group of static, chatting strangers, especially if there's no music. If I go to Help Island, or perhaps Orientation Island, like I do from time to time, if there's a guy (and it usually is a guy, probably with orange trousers, purple shirt and green hair) doing the 'Let's go Crazy' dance or something, I tend to want to avoid tham!

How bored does one have to be to find being a public nuisance at a welcome area entertaining? Has zapping harpies in the northern Barrens of WoW lost its thrill for these guys? Now they are gonna hang out and toss nets on newbs while singing their 'happy happy joy joy' song. Sounds like total friggin sissyboy shit. "WHATSA MATTER GRIEFERS, MOMMY WONT LET YA SUCK ON HER TEAT NO MORE???" Pfffft. Please don't shout in the small forum rooms  _____________________

I avoid people who are arguing and angry people in general. I'm not much for arguing, but I do occasionally get sucked into an argument, but I like to blame that on too much sugar and PMS
Being around people who are angry is no fun. Avoid them like I do. Life is better.I haven't met any bullies in SL yet, just a**holes, though not that many. I have a brother who is the biggest you know what I've ever met, so my tolerance is pretty high but I react when I do think it's gone that far, and I will not take abuse from anyone, ever. I would say mute the person who is bullying you and then avoid them. Teleport out of a region if they continue to follow you, and report them again. |

I have a death animation for times like the OP encountered. My ava sorta stumbles about a bit and then flops facedown on the ground. Its quite funny seeing how the person trying to bait you reacts =D

I am new at SL; only about a week now. I was startled to see the amounts of verbal and "physical" bullying going on around various worlds at SL. griefing neighboring landowners by building ugly, view-blocking walls is also a bullying technique. |
