The grandfathered tier is transferable, but for how long? I've been seeing a lot more ads in the land forum for grandfathered sims than usual and this concerns me because I have one. I wonder if people know something I don't know....

1. It's the economy, stupid.

2. The recent price adjustment to Homesteads (nee Openspaces) has led people to suspect that more pricing changes are on the way.

After all, some of these people selling have $295 tier sims too (surely Anshe does) - if that's the case why sell the cheaper ones?

Because the ones with the cheaper tier will fetch more money up front. If you are facing a cash flow crunch, that lets you raise the most money with the least sale of assets.
