I have expressions of disbelief about World of Warcraft, so that makes sense.

Can't we all just chip-in, send the guy his L$30, and close the thread? I offered him L$90,000 last night, if he told me the secret of ripping scripts as he said he would, and he didn't take it! So clearly he's not short of cash. Either that or he's just keeping the secret for himself, the cad. _____________________

Tell you what. YOU become personally responsible for the overseeing and regulation of people trying to money launder huh. You think you can handle that? Have a nice time in prison rl!! ![]() I've spent 4 years in my RL job having at least partial responsibility for catching fraudsters and I train people how to detect fraudulent behaviour and I would never in a million years want to put my head on the chopping block. So ... not to be QUITE so impolite as to say "deal with it and STFU" as was said elsewhere - what is in SL has ultimately got to be LEGAL outside SL. LL are in no way liable for what has happened, on ANY level, with a transaction you have made with a "bank". Not quite sure about that one Cherry But......Linden Labs have sidestepped this issue by banning speculation type returns on "financial products" within SL, and require those who do advertize such products to be financially authorised in real life terms. Which is a good thing. |

I'll add 90k, a la Dragon's Den, to that deal Ordinal, if you would be prepared to go 50:50 on the script ripper? Well, there's already an investment of 20K and one of 10K was offered after I last spoke to the chap, so there'll have to be some method of division. What I thought was that we could each get a proportional number of bytes from each script ripped, randomly selected, so you'd get 50% of them. I considered doing it with lines but bytes would be easier to divide up. _____________________

Which is a good thing. OK I recant slightly on the last point, possibly, re not liable in any way ... you're right, there could be some loophole. I couldn't agree more re regulation of anything which would and should be regulated RL. It's easy for me to say of course, I'm not in SL for money so it's all sort of passed me by really. No doubt the day will come when my interests get the flamethrower - it's just a matter of time and the writing has been on the blog a while now... |

I have expressions of disbelief about World of Warcraft, so that makes sense. He he. I Take back everything I said about gentle mods: *Reaches back to her Catholic School Days and falls to her knees: "Oh Dearest Moderator, You are so just and wise. We beseech Thee and Thy Grace, to give us strength to weather these assaults on our sanity, and for Thee to come with Thy Sacred Locking Implements, and to use them as Thou see fit in Thy Infinite Wisdom, to swiftly and mercifully cause those who would trespass against us to to Shut the Fucketh Up." Or send in Brother Maynard with the Holy Hand Grenade. Amen. Dominos,Dominos,Pizza Hut. _____________________

Inconceivable! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Erm, sorry....it's just some kind of reflex.....ummmm...... *hides behind her scholarly books, making sure no one sees her collection of weird 80s films* _____________________

Talk about Freud? I think he'd be impressed with all the sex toys in SL. Even though sometimes a poseball is just a poseball.

This is in responce to a ticket I sent in WOW talke about fraid LL have fallen BIG time THEY have become the crooks.. I would REALLY suggest that no one put any cahs into SL...they reall have become crooks in a BIG way ![]() Its to bad really SL was really a great place for a really long time...noot eLL is just a bunch of thievs Solved: (1/11/2008 9:13 PM PDT) Greetings, Some may argue that Residents who deposit L$ with these “banks” must know they’re assuming a big risk – the high interest rates promised aren’t guaranteed, and the banks aren’t overseen by Linden Lab or anyone else. That may be true. But for all of the other reasons we’ve set out above, we can’t let this activity continue. ![]() _____________________

It would be LL as the thief and the fraudster btw I have already had my lawers start the paper work on it. O did ya know that LL can get audited for the taxes to.. ofcourse that would screw everone over.. but it is something I would do if nothing eles works ![]() you do know how to talk bollocks don't you. You "invested" in a ponzi scheme. They are illegal and LL quite rightly is shutting them down. If the person running the scheme (the owner of the "bank" doesn't pay you, then they are the fraudsters, NOT LL. Your lawsuit will be laughed out of court. |

*ponders* After all the posts about Ginko, after all the posts about people not getting their money back, after all the complaints that SL banks are just frauds, someone still had to be silly enough to give a complete stranger their money and have the stupidity to expect that money back and then some.
If this was a cartoon, I'd start checking for anvil shadow.. _____________________
