This is in responce to a ticket I sent in WOW talke about fraid LL have fallen BIG time THEY have become the crooks.. I would REALLY suggest that no one put any cahs into SL...they reall have become crooks in a BIG way

Why is it LL's responsibility?

It is the responsibility of the owner of the "bank" that you invested with to refund your money and no-one else. So STFU and deal with it.

How the **** can you blame LL? If the resident you have invested with is ethical and true to their promises, they will give you your money back - if the ATMs are closed, ask for it back directly. If he/she is not ethical, if he/she does a runner with your money, then you have to accept you made a bad judgement call (fuelled by greed), and if you want to pursue it further, you should go after that resident, not LL.

I'm not totally unsympathetic, but I wish people would realise that any potential loss is a result of their own actions, no doubt drawn in by the ridiculously unsustainable interest rates offered. It is not Linden Lab's fault.

The response from LL to the OPs ticket was admirable in its restraint, I thought. Better off venting at the "bank" you entrusted your money to without guarantee instead of accusing LL of thieving. If you don't get your money back, who's the thief?

O did ya know that LL can get audited for the taxes to.. ofcourse that would screw everone over.. but it is something I would do if nothing eles works

You are indeed very clever and powerful. I'm extremely shocked at how cunning you have planned to get LL at their own game. I'm sure you'll see that they get theirs for sure.

I hope you didn't lose too much in the SL banking bust cause you're going to be wasting a lot more if you're really having lawyers work up papers, which I very seriously doubt anyway.

Unreal. Interesting to see that you will compound your loss by paying a lawyer to work on a case that would be laughed out of the simplest court. Blaming LL for your error in judgement and the lofty pretensions of an SL resident who thought one day, "I know, I'll start a bank", is as futile as it is inappropriate.

Publicly defaming LL could lay yourself open to legal action.

Besides, companies accounts are audited anyway, as a routine.

the word you want is Fraud... not frud, not fraid... Fraud... and it's your "bank" that is fraudlent in their claims if they don't give your money back, not LL... LL just happened to expose that fraud..

that isn't to say that everyone who hasn't gotten their money back yet, won't. a few of these places may have your L$ invested into content creation etc, and may be waiting on returns from those to pay back clients.

Tell you what. YOU become personally responsible for the overseeing and regulation of people trying to money launder huh. You think you can handle that?

I've spent 4 years in my RL job having at least partial responsibility for catching fraudsters and I train people how to detect fraudulent behaviour and I would never in a million years want to put my head on the chopping block.

So ... not to be QUITE so impolite as to say "deal with it and STFU" as was said elsewhere - what is in SL has ultimately got to be LEGAL outside SL.

LL are in no way liable for what has happened, on ANY level, with a transaction you have made with a "bank".
