After seeing a few references to "my guy" or "my toon", I wonder... how do people refer to their avatar?

Edit: please note that this IS multiple selection - you can pick more than one.

Being severely addicted to SL...I just refer to her as "me" or "I" ;)

Toss up. Either "my Ava" or "me" Kind of depends on whom I'm speaking with. If it's someone who is in SL, more likely to refer to her as "me". Others who are not familiar with the platform, probably would think I'm nuts if I did, so I use "avatar".

More often than not, I just refer to each of my several avatars by their name, as a person would be referred to. When speaking OOC, as their Player, I refer to them as Avatars or Characters. Either way, to me, they are all fictional characters that I am the author for.

None of my avatars are "Me". Not even the one I almost never use, that actually resembles my Player as much as I could manage to make it do so.

Good poll, Argent.

(I wouldn't have minded seeing a combination choice, though. I know that when I'm describing something that happened I'll sometimes say 'then this guy landed on the tower on which my avatar was sitting,' and other times I'll say 'I'd avoid that sandbox, the other day this jerk kept knocking me over, and it got very boring.')

(And I might not be the only one to use more than one way of referring to....themselves/their avatars.)

It _is_ multiple choice.

But isn't it 'pick one from the multiple choices'?

Or are you saying that more than one choice would have registered?

Iyoba is "me," "my little avie," "li'l fat girl," and "gewp-gewp Iyoba." This last name presented itself when I discovered that my little avie has a belly button. She also has toe nails and finger nails.

When you see square boxes, it is multiple choice. When you can pick one and only one, the buttons are round.

Yes, you can make multiple choices. At least that's what I told it to do. You should have seen multiple square checkboxes instead of multiple round radio buttons... I'm pretty sure I did.

I'm fairly certain that everyone who uses teh internetz knows that checkboxes imply multiple selection, while radio buttons only allow one option at a time. Everyone.

Sarcasm aside, I would like to know if my assumption about the poll was incorrect, because of course I can't pull it up again. :(

My avatar, I've broken the 'toon' habit (on WoW, it was my 'toon').
