Cant login and dont exist in search anymore!

It won't be anything to do with that that you have in your profile. If LL deleted those who openly, and seriously, criticised them, they wouldn't have many users left - half of the forum users would have gone a long time ago, including me.

If that did it, we would all be banned.

If anything at all makes them suspicious, LL is unfortunately know for shooting first and asking questions later.

Did you by any chance transfer large sums of money from Cally to an alt? The Lab in its wisdom sometimes interprets movement of significant sums as money-laundering. They certainly should have notified you if they were deleting the account, but this has a whiff of Linden newbie about it for me. I'd try ringing again - see if you can speak to a supervisor. Tickets take forever!

And, as the others have said, if LL banned people for criticizing the Lab they wouldn't have many resis left! A certain long-lived conspiracy theorist would have been booted long ago.

Hey Francesca no he didnt transfer any cash into his alt..its an alt we both used when we ran a business and never put any money into its account...we havent even used it until he couldnt log in with cally..and thought we would try see if he could get in with that one..but no..same message. The only thing the same between his main av and alt are his email address.
I just dont understand how they can delete someones account..and any other accounts they have...deleting all that person has invested into that account...yet he can make a new av using same email and everything no problem.
What frustrates me is that LL seem completely unreacheable..billing enquires told him his account is "on hold" and couldnt say why..yet he has completely disappeared from search and his groups.
If LL were just a RL company they would have had their asses sued so many times they wouldnt be still trading right now i am sure.

what i don't understand is why they don't get sued left, right & center for stealing money from users.

FWIW, that "on hold" status is a bit encouraging. Also, we know that disappearing from Search need not mean the account is irretrievably deleted: at one point a certain Very Important Oldbie revealed that she was removed from Search for a time at her own request (presumably a Very Special request).

I wonder if the accounts affected here might have gotten caught up in a sweep of copyright infringement or some other serious infraction, perhaps due to some coincidental dynamic IP address assignments. I don't know in detail how this kind of banning is done, but with all the MAC and IP spoofing, it seems as if it must be more art than science.

if either of you has a premium account i highly recommend live chat. My account was suspended about a month ago and speaking to live chat helped me to work out exactly why i had been banned, what the issue was and how to sort it and have the suspension removed from my account so it does not affect me in the future.

Make sure any messages, tickets, live chat supports you have you do NOT get angry or treat the staff in a way in which they would not want to help you. The person who you are talking to isnt the person who put the ban/suspension on your account, however they can help you try to fix it if you let them.

If you speak to live chat particularly they will tell you they cannot tell you the details of any AR's against you etc. Simply state something along the lines that you understand the disclosure issues and know that live support cannot help in actually making any decisions on your account but you would just like to understand why the banning/suspension has occured so that you can submit a ticket to try to get it sorted.

In all honesty im not sure what the chances are of having your account reinstated upon them actually removing you from the database, but if nothing else you can at least find out why this occured.

By the way i would also sugest NOT using the alt you created for this thread to log into SL. One of the things which is likely to get you into more trouble is cirmuventing any bans they have put in place by creating an alt

this smells like an ageplay ban.

We really only have one side of this - It sounds as if the person with whom the avatar 'had words' felt it as a threat and reported it as one - but who knows? Nothing really we can say, we have no information.

it seems to me that the majority of these cases where people are suddenly wiped and stonewalled are those of either:
a: underage typist
b: ageplay

perhaps somebody has reported him as being underage. ll seem to shoot first in such cases.

I'm posting a link to RobbyRacoon Olmstead's blog and his pic of the reply to his ticket. It seems as if there was some problem with ID - as if they suspected someone other than he was using the account. I don't know if supplying this sort of information this will be helpful in Cally's case, but it's worth a shot.

LL - The Great Communicators [not]

Tethys and the surrounding sims are mountainous and crossed by both a Linden road and a forked river. Land parcels on either side were routinely joined by resi-created bridges, builds jutted out over the forbidden, sorry, protected, land. Nobody seemed bothered including Brett, [I think] Linden who has a whitewater innertube place there [the Tubes of Saturn, Tethys, if you want to ride the river]. They didn't block the way: in fact they facilitated movement round the sim. It sounds as if your bridge did much the same. I don't suppose there's the remotest chance your partner still has the chat log from that exchange with Whoever Linden?

What is happening at the Lab? It's seems very different from the Lab of a few years ago. I smell Suits: the kind you wear, not lawsuits.

Thankyou for the link to RobbyRacoons reply from LL..I am now wondering if the fact he logs into alts account ocassionally from UK as well as Sweden..that maybe it is the alt that has been the focus of this account hold..and therefore affects any other account which is linked with it. Its the only reason I can think of..

Melita...Yes you all only have one side of this..but he is a respected staff member of Dance Island..and as security..warning ppl about unacceptable behavior which will result in a ban..is a fundamental part of the job. If all security were reported and LL suspended them for doing their jobs..there would be none left in SL at all.

Nina..my hubby is not premium or age verified..but LL hold his credit card details and have done for two and a half years..and he never has any cause to enter age verified areas..the areas just dont allow you in them..rather than your account gets suspended.

Anyway, thanks to you all for your continuing help, I am frantically logging in everyday while he is away working until next monday, to see if maybe...just maybe...LL have given me my husband back

We thought we had kept it on a notecard--in fact my partner was sure of it, but we can't seem to locate that card (and trust me, we've searched every nook and cranny of BOTH of our inventories). I could honestly understand if we had been issued a warning and the bridge had been returned. ( I would have been upset, but at least I could see their point). For my partner, however, to attempt to log on only to find out he had been SUSPENDED was a whole other issue.

no, i am suggesting that somebody has sent an AR in claiming your husband is under 18 in real life.
i believe that is one of the cases in which ll will immediately lock you out, not send an email, and be a bit unresponsive. ive seen it reported that way more than a few times.
