My hubby cannot log in..it says Login Failed..Cannot complete your request at this time..please go to sl.com..if you are unable to change password call this number (866) etc...his profile is still the same ..but he is no longer in any groups and when searched in people search it says none found. He tried with another av he had and cannot log in with that one either...Anyone know what is happening or has this problem themselves? It is like LL have placed a block or something on his account and erased him!

I just checked in-world and I found his profile. Perhaps it was a momentary glitch. You said he can't log in with an alt either. Do you use the same computer? If not, have you tried logging yourself in on his to see if there's a problem with the viewer (he could try logging in to his account on yours). Other than the usual reinstalling the client, etc. my only other suggestion is to contact Support. Good luck. |

Hi yes i have tried logging in with his av and his alt and i cant either and i am in London and he in Sweden..he can be found in all search yes..but go to people and search and it says none found. Also even though his profile still says he is in his groups..he is not in actually any of his groups at all..it is like he has been wiped from SL

If you click the little "i" next to her partner box, the profile pops up;
but if you then search for that name in people search, then it doesn't show up. Did your partner receive any email from LL? |

Hi no he hasnt received anything from LL at all..he was online ok until 9am this morning..now he cant login at all with both avs and neither appear in people seacrh or their groups. He cant log into his account in sl.com..or access forums here coz it says he has to be a resident..which he has been for 2and half years..he cant access Xstreet either for same reason.

Thanks for helping out. Hi loke If you're suspended, or your account is deleted, you lose Forum access as well. It sounds as if that's what may have happened. I'm not suggesting you did anything wrong at all - this sort of thing has happened before, most recently to RobbyRacoon Olmstead. I think your best bet is to ring the Billing department - they deal with non-technical account queries as well as billing. But if it was suspended or on hold or whatever...shouldn't i get an email telling me why from LL or something? I didn't get anything from them and i checked trash folders...nothing there. Well i'm worried what LL can do or the system can do if this just appear out from the blue. I will look up that number Francesca...thanks. But again; shouldn't i get some info from LL? |

You could file a support ticket using your newly created account, or log in to the support system as a guest and file a ticket. I believe that not being able to access your account is one of the things basics and guests can file a ticket for. I'd do that in addition to calling billing.

Could your or your service provider's spam filter be blocking email from Linden Labs?
Did your credit card deny charges from Linden Labs? That happens a lot, I had a tussle with mine because they thought it was an online pharmacy. |

In any case, certainly the account holder should have gotten an email from LL to whatever address is associated with the account, so I agree that spam filters would be a place to check; it may be that "trash folders" really meant spam--unless, as you suggest, the email was filtered upstream of those folders, in which case one would need to go directly to the mail hosting service to see what it thinks is spam. I would suggest following up on this quickly. There's a chance that LL suspended the account for a very good reason, for example to protect the account holder if they have reason to suspect that the password has been compromised, perhaps. _____________________

Just cant believe Linden Labs

His account is not premium no...he has received no email..in any folder spam trash or otherwise. His account is no longer. Linden Labs have cancelled his account with no word. He has lost his AV..ALL HIS MONEY..THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH in his whole inventory..his pictures...his memories...(we got married a couple of months ago) EVERYTHING...HIS WHOLE SECOND LIFE IS GONE..with not one word from anyone...just GONE...two and half years GONE!...he hasnt done anything wrong..he hasnt even been online recently he has been away working...he comes home to log in last night and from 9am yesterday morning..GONE...I cant believe a comapny that call themselves professionals can do this to anyone with not so much as a damn word WHY?

He didn't connect to Second Life using one of the several detectable viewers designed to export stuff and bypass permissions did he? Oh I think you mentioned different countries? Takes LL a long time to actually delete an account. LL doesn't knock off dormant accounts very often. I had to have someone removed from the owner role of one of my groups. She had not logged in for a year and was still in the system. |

Ann: No i use LL's regular viewer all the time. I tried out emerald ages ago and also used Nicholaz viewer but that is over one year ago. And i only logged in from sweden. I just checked my email and still nothing from LL. |

The All Search box and People Search box use different methods. I assume that All Search does more caching, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the account appears there but not in the People Search list. Also, even after someone is banned, they can still show up in Friends lists, as owners of objects in-world, etc. Is it possible you used a different email address for signing up? Regardless, your only option will be to contact LL directly. |

We had the RobbyRacoon Olmstead fiasco recently, and before that someone in Caledon was suspended because an object CREATED by her was used to overload a sim. The object (I forget what it was now) itself was not "illegal" or malicious in any way, and she had no idea it was being used in this way until she was bounced. Anyone want to bet the Lab has recently taken on new staff? Where will the LL Grim Reaper strike next? loke, Kidd is right - you need to talk to LL. This is unacceptable! |

It's interesting to read these accounts of new "bans". Last week, my partner logged on to find out his account had been suspended without warning. Two years ago, we requested LL remove a tree from Linden roadway that was obstructing the view from one of our parcels to the other. When a Linden came out to take a look, he suggested we join our parcels and gave my partner explicit directions as to how to construct a bridge over that roadway to join our parcels (locking down the sides). For two years that bridge stood. Last week, however, it was summarily deleted and with that deletion came a 24 hour suspension. Would have been nice to have been given at LEAST a warning!

It is up to the user to submit a ticket, have someone submit a ticket for them or call the number given. They will not tell you why you were banned. They will certianly not tell you who sent the AR. However, if someone is claiming to be a Linden or know a Linden or have any pull with the G-Team (which actually does not exist any more) then sumbit an AR about that seperately from. If you have chat logs with her threats, be sure to keep them and supply them with the AR. They will do no good at all in your defense I am afraid. You can try, but if they take that log into account they will be admitting she is the one who filed the complaint against you. _____________________

The reason why the name still shows up in the All search and not in the People tab search si because it takes time for the All search data to be updated and, since the hubby was logged in not many houirs ago, there hasn't been enough time yet.
From what's been said in this thread, it's possible that the person who the hubby warned twice had something to with it - there are dickheads around - and it's also possible that the the partner logged into his account from to time - all above board but from a different country. It's within the realms of possibility that that would raise a flag. (Sorry, I don't remember the OP's or the hubby's names as I'm writing this reply, so I didn't use them). _____________________

I sent a ticket and i'll see what will happen with it. I'm trying to get in touch with LL but no need to say it's more or less impossible. Phil: No my wife dont log in with my account. She dont know my pw and i don't know hers. Rhonda: I will look into that and yes i do have the chatlogs of that when she said she will contact the G-team. I consider to send an AR about that. Francesca: Yes it is unacceptable. And I'm going away for another week from tomorrow and cant even read nor reply in here until next monday. Lexy my wife will follow this thread though. It's just so freaking frustrating |

I didn't do anything. I do have a thing in my picks in my main account where i'm saying this and that about the viewer and how buggy it is. Maybe that made them real angry i don't know anymore. I'm losing hope now i will ever get online with my two and a half year old account again. I found my RL love anyway and that is all what matters really. It's just avatars but this gives me a bad feeling allover ![]() My main account is Cally Zabelin and my wife is Lexy Markstein. Whatever LL got on their mind they will never split us apart anyway and we gonna meet in RL real soon. That is all what matters. |
