1. alot of sim owners i know are taking their stuff down and moving to opensim becasue it's free and faster
2. LL is killing themselves with this, their product is going downhill, and they refuse to admit it, f@$!ing sad.
3. i don't car either, i have an event to be to, well, now, and i can't log in, WHAT BULLS--T IS THIS!?
i think LL knows of the problems, with economy problems like you said, the unemployment rate is increasing, and the industry that LL is in (tech support/ gaming technician) is getting worse and worse each passing day.
LL is privatly owned, yes, but they aren't gonna do so well, with competition popping up for SL, (opensim, Meet Me, there.com (which has been around longer then SL), and google's proposed 3d chat) it's not looking so hot right now, and even the president-elect said "the economy is going to get worse before it gets any better" i tried those places and really i suggest everyone try them for about an hour ..then come back to sl and see just how good SL feels.. it runs so much better after..they still have a couple years to go to get where sl is now and SL will be even farther ahead of where it is now.. maybe if they had economies and some financial backing they would be a little better..for the most part though i couldn't wait to get back here.. it will be nice when they do get up and going well cause it would be nice to have more options  |

As of 5:01pm here on the east coast, logins are disabled. Made two attempts to get in world. At the first attempt concurrency was 77,000. At the second attempt it was down to 64,000. I made a pair of shoes while I was waiting (texture shoes). They're sling backs made from greenish bleu cheese. I have two new bleu cheese textures, plus a cheesey hair texture, plus the new shoes.....That's three bulk uploads that aren't going to happen, plus I have a new idea for a prim skirt with a semi-double flounce. It's not going to happen if the gate stays locked.
Weekends are prime time. Folks are inside due to the cold. It sure would be nice to get in world.

Who cares if it runs fast and you always get in if there's nothing to do when you get there. I visit there but live here. Meanwhile I'm still performing the logon ritual you described ...

Not to mention, the hair might be hard to brush... It sounds like you should be working in the back of a restaurant; not retail! Not able to log in here! 63k online, and none of them are me! Meanwhile I'm still performing the logon ritual you described ... it didn't work for you? i got in first try and have been in and out a few times testing this new viewer i heard about today.. when my loading bar stops i just click my browser and then my bar starts to move every time.. i'm not gonna ask what browser you are using because then it's gonna make it sound like there is a science to it and really have no idea how it happens..lol |

Still unable to login even though the status message has said that the issue was fixed since I was first unable to login.  Oh, and : [REOPENED 3:09 PM PST] Logins have been restricted again. Please watch this post for continuing updates. |

I looked at the grid status page.
LL has had SOME sort of issue EVERY DAY since the 10th, when the last problem was the 8th.
That doesn't bode well.
