Age Verification Failed

I noticed the default age is 1979, so is this the maximum date?
Because people born in 1981 would be 18 still

Oh yeah. I've tried tho get verification a few months ago, but it failed.
So i've submitted a ticket for more information.

This was the answer i've received:

If age verification is not working for you on the website, we can verify you manually here through the support portal ticket system.

In order to pass manual age verification we require at least two (2) legible scanned images.

-One (or more) of: Driver's License, Passport, State or National ID, Birth Certificate, etc showing date of birth and name

AND

- at least one (1) piece of additional documentation such as a receipt, a utility bill, pay stub, bank statement with receipt type, name and address clearly shown and matching that of the ID (NOT just an envelope or address label).

Other identifying information such as account numbers etc may be omitted or obscured as long as it is clear what type of document it is, it appears valid and authentic, and all the required information is clearly legible.

You may send them by adding them to this ticket as an attachment. If you cannot provide authentic documentation with the required information, we will not be able to manually age verify your account.

I still don't see: WHY do they need all of this info - for a computer game!?

It's only a game, not like you could end up in jail for cavorting with a minor or something?

I've got the 1.23 client downloaded and on the General tab of Preferences there is a "Rating:" line (just above the 'Crash reports' box) and mine states "I want to access content rated PG and Mature". However, I can see no way to change it -- it is simply a statement there. So what if I decide I all of a sudden only want PG stuff? And what about if I want to add 'Adult' to that?

I'm confused about the Furries & Goreans, they still seem to be here depite your signiture, so are you too, so it pretty much indicates 3/4 of what you say may be bullcrap.

Does anyone know an Adult region we can use for testing access? Arapaima is Mature, not Adult.

Thanks much Milla and Daniel, that's very helpful. At the moment, older clients seem to work better than I expected - a verified account has access to Adult areas automatically, and a nonverified account is kept out. I don't see any way for an older client to be able to tell an area is Adult once there, but that isn't essential.

Have to do some more experimenting with Search on the older clients, but since All Search doesn't really work anyway, it's less important. Sometime I'll have to take the lappie home and crank it up next to the good computer and compare what I get in search.

As time goes on, one has to expect that the older equipment will eventually just not work at all. I'm realistic about it, just like to know what's broken and what's not. Thanks!
