All the hair I end up wearing more than once is from Lost.

Yeah I have an updo from there too.

Of course every hair style i have gets 1-2 hours of prim readjustment before Ill wear it.

I'm too attached to veils and bindi to keep any hairstyle straight out of the box. Inevitably the bangs wind up obscuring the look so I have to spend forever adjusting them "just right".

I hate torus, they exist only to frustrate me.

If you are a guy and can find more than one hairstyle that looks decent, you are doing well. I would try deviant Kitties, as the the best hair designer I know says that the DK stuff makes her sorry she ever tried to design hair.

Well actually, I wear a mowhawk. I just saw every hairstyle in deviant kitties before I actually found the one I was looking for (proof that what you want is always the last thing you will find). As an aesthete in SL, I am, however, a connisuer of women's hair. And, preferring elegance to trashy (Hepburn, either of them, over Britney Spears any day), I pay attention.

I have about 150 hairdo's but sadly now that I look at them, so many of them are starting to look the same, just a different hair texture and designer...
I also really like hair from Zyrra Falcone, whom I haven't seen mentioned in awhile.

You guys got me curious to see how many hair folders I actually have. Now, I am a total hair whore, I shop for new hair everday, but I didn't expect to have as many folders as I counted! I counted that I have 183 hair folders...and no I don't make hair.

Oh and my fav hair spots are ETD and Kin.
But Antonia Marat @ Artilleri makes some rly cute styles too, she just doesn't have a whole whole lot of hair.

Most males that I know only have 1 to 3 hairstyles, and can't imagine why they need more than that.

You mean, most women are easily satisfied with men wearing the same old hair all the time, and most men lack enough imagination to experiment with different hair styles.
My own collection has 3 favorite styles, a dozen so-so styles and a few low prim for laggy situations. I also change my hair color depending on which skin and outfit I'm wearing.
Naughty hair are the best IMO. Calla are so-so. Panache didn't have any men hair do's last time I checked.

Thanks for all the suggestions! There are several in there I've never been to, and they're all on my To Do list.

Just to clarify a bit...

I've fallen in love with the high prim, very flexible, fine hairstyles. My very favorite is "Destiny" from Jolie Femme, but I have others from there and from Analog Dog. What I'd love to find is an updo that incorporates some of those characteristics...maybe with some fine, floaty escaping wisps, or bangs, or a high ponytail.

My current favorite updo is an ETD design, "Airy".

As someone who has files and subfiles and subfiles of subfiles for hair (pontails, long, short, updoes, punk, etc) I'd have to guess in the 200 + range..thats nots including various colors of one style of course..nor all the non-flexi ones I still have from way back when. If there's a club for hair whores..sign me up!

Sort of off-topic, but how mnay hairdos do girls usually have? And do guys have lots as well. I only have one, and apparently it's bad (grrrrr).

I have two. One I wear most of the time and one I wear under hats. My regular hair is too spikey for hats. I figure I don't change my hair everyday in RL so it doesn't feel right to do so in SL. My current hair just feels right.

If you want to talk about clothes, now that's a whole other story.

I think most of my favorite hairdos at the moment are from Bewitched Hair on Lemon Isle. Updos, medium length, short, and long and loose - I have Bewitched hairs for every occasion. I have a plethora of hair from other designers, too, but I wear the Bewitched styles most often.

And I'm definitely in that crowd that has to have just the right hair for every single outfit - in fact, I've had hairs in my inventory that I was thinking of getting rid of and was glad I didn't because it turned out they were absolutely the perfect look for that one particular dress...

Marly's has a cute 60's-70's style beehive that's low on prims and is non-flexi so I tend to wear it whenever I know I'm going somewhere crowded. It's very sleek and fashionable.

I've probably got around 300 hairs now, but that includes the "I've gotta have every color" packs, of which I have 2, and are, what, 60 or so hairs each?

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Wow, some of you have more hair than I have total items in my inventory, excluding the irritatingly undeletable library items (why is that?).

I'd take my hat off to you, but I don't have a hat.

I only wish MY Library items were as permanent as they were supposed to be. Most of my Library has mysteriously evaporated.

Interestingly, when kind people try to give me a replacement folder, I get an error message. The only way to get the items is if they're boxed in a storage prim.

ARRRGH...that's a new low for you, Lindal. You just derailed your OWN thread. And you're talking to yourself again. :o

Tami McCoy...she has lots of styles some with 'flower/tiara' addons..

Also like Calla

I think I have more hair than anyone here - I have a special folder for Demos as I tend to buy them and keep them until I need a specific style then go in search of one I remember then go buy it...

Over 200 styles now - and different colors - and I wear a lot of them, not just one or two. I belong to a group that has theme parties and a girl can't wear the same hair to every party!!

I even get the free - modifiable ones to see if I can recomb it to something different...

Definitely have more hair than panties....who needs panties?
