Who makes the best updos?

Fashion question...

I've been looking for a really pretty updo to go with formal wear, but just haven't found anything that says yes! buy me!

Who do y'all think makes the best updos?

I have a couple from ETD that I really like.

Pandia's Purrfect Hair. Pandia has several very nice updo's, at very reasonable prices.

Are we talking hair here, or 'hair'.

Depends how formal you want it imho.....

Miriel has two beautiful formal updo's, Calico is an obvious one for great formal styles though i'm personally not entirely keen on their textures, Tami McCoy has lovely ones that are not too prim heavy.
Also HCT has some very nicely done, slightly less formal ones.

I'm really fond of Calla, although Calla and ETD share solid quality I think Calla has a slightly smoother "tidy" look that I'm usually looking for in an updo. I have a few from ETD that I wear when I'm looking for something with a little more flair though.

I really like Calico Creations for updos. I have several of theirs and like all of them. They range from relatively plain, to more fancy.

Sort of off-topic, but how mnay hairdos do girls usually have? And do guys have lots as well. I only have one, and apparently it's bad (grrrrr).

I have three styles that I wear most of the time. But I must own at least 20 or 30 total - maybe more. Depends on what sort of look I am going for that day, and what avatar I am wearing. Some of my hairstyles look great on a Human form, but don't work on a furry form. Some are gorgeous but cause too much lag to wear in a laggy area. Some are very low-lag, but don't look as nice. Some make me look younger, like wearing my hair in "dog ears" - a pony-tail like gathering of hair on each side of the head. A girl's gotta have the right look to fit the situation.

Most males that I know only have 1 to 3 hairstyles, and can't imagine why they need more than that.

For exotic updo's, Mau's and Mei's.

I probably have around 30 or 40 also...pretty much always wear the same one, but theres that rare occasion when I swap it for an updo or ponytail. I gothrough hair buying phases, trying on demo's all day and then buying up all the ones I liked....still always going back to my " regular" do.

To the op....I do like Calla for updos, I have one updo from Panache that I love for super formal stuff. I'm not inworld right now and cannot remember the name of the particular style.

Heh... I'm mentally counting up about 25, and I know I have more in the back of my hair closet- maybe as many as 35? I collect all the freebies and cheapies along with a handful of purchased ones... that's not counting the dozens of demos I keep stashed so I only have to buy them once in case i want to buy them later.

I have 1 that I wear frequently (Curse you Diversity Hair! ReRelease my Ruby in the new textures! GRR.) and about 10 that I cycle through as the mood strikes me, the rest mostly collect dust. Of those, I've got 3 Calla updos, 1 ETD updo, 2 pigtail-type, 2 short, one long, one long and curly.... and my rRuby- short and curly =)

All of the big designers have some nice updos. I personally find Speak II from Gurl6 to be quite lovely. I also have a nice one from ETD - I can't remember the name off the bat. Speak II is the one in my avatar picture.

I'm a piker. I only have ten or so, and of those, I only wear six regularly.

On the other hand, when I find a style I like, I tend to buy ALL the colors. Those, I change a lot.

I have tons of hair, at least 30. I use it as an accessory. For the most part, I try to stick with the same (or similar) texture, but I do have a few of a different color. Which one I wear depends on my outfit or my mood.

All the hair I end up wearing more than once is from Lost.

Yeah I have an updo from there too.

Of course every hair style i have gets 1-2 hours of prim readjustment before Ill wear it.

p.s. by "Lost" she means Lost Therian, who's store is at Naughty Island

Wow, I hadn't found anyone else that needed to match the hair to the day as much as I do. I have 244 different hair styles currently... can't help it.. each look needs the proper hair!
