It's meant to be über cute :D. It's Ryo-ohki's cabbit dance (I suspect some of the meaning was lost in translation). In the anime the character sometimes transforms from a cabbit (half rabbit, half cat) into a human but usually only half transforms as in the state in the avatar image. The character isn't all that bright but is the cutest thing ever (Ryo-ohki won the cutest anime character for several years running).

Lol, I'll give a crack at translation.

Strife has been instrumental in enabling random nerds to script in SL. All the most interesting things in SL are fun because of the scripts that control them ... doors, airships, swings, sex beds, pets, colorable hair, lalala.

So what did s/he do? Firstly, Strife has been an indefatigable Scripting Mentor. To quote the nomination, "a cornerstone of the scripting community".

Secondly and HUGELY, Strife drove the development of the online (living) documentation for Linden Scripting Language. The LSL wiki is one of the best wikis I've ever seen, and because of it, about six billion more scripted objects exist than otherwise would. You really can learn to script just by reading the wiki.

Strife has also contributed significantly (actual code) to sculptie toolsets, including the viewer for them and the popular Wings3d Exporter. Again, the result of this work was to enable more people to create content in SL.

And, lastly, something that should make hir endlessly popular on the forums: Strife has actually contributed BUG FIXES.

Because someone nominated Strife, I went to read up on what he's actually done because I was curious...and found all that stuff....I was mightily impressed, and he never ever even brags about all that work, kinda working in the background.

@Strife: ARGH! What have you done! I went to look up Ryo-ohki and watched a few clips....and now that song and dance routine is stuck in my brain! I can hear him/her in my head all the time! And for me as a cat person who has actually owned a little rabbit, too, it's even worse. I get this glassy eyed stare accompanied by the URGE to CUDDLE the little thing now. :D
