...and that's for the work most people don't even realise Strife has done....
Congrats to Strife, and a *big hug*! (Even ResMods need hugs sometimes I think) _____________________

Thanks Strife for all your great work; our SL is better because of you!
And lets not forget Nicholaz too without his viewer, many of us couldn't even log on! |

"Best Community Organizer
This is a category to recognize non-code contribution. We were looking for someone who figures out how to be really helpful without getting hung up on just the code. This year’s winner has been a force to be reckoned with on the open source wiki. A large portion of the new LSL section has the winner’s fingerprints on it somewhere. Additionally, there’s been a ton of work in the issue tracker and in all sorts of nooks and crannies. This year’s winner is Strife Onizuka." --- Can someone explain in English what this means and what Strife is responsible for doing? _____________________

Yay! I was so pleased when I read the news.
Also was glad to see (once I scrolled to the bottom of the blog post!) that Nicholaz had got a well-deserved award. Able too Thanks to all of you for all your hard work making our SL better ![]() _____________________

Who were the other candidates for any of these awards... and were we given anywhere the opportunity to vote, or is it just Linden pets again?

*hands Broccoli an anti-crankiness pill*
The "Innovation Awards" were originally called the "Open Source Awards", as described in this Blog posting: http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/07/17/linden-lab-to-recognize-open-source-contributors/ So yeah, all nominations were public and votes collected via Jira, for the last month. |

Ray, you would have to check out the open source wiki for that, and especially the part dealing with LSL (=the script language)... Ummm, English enough? ![]() _____________________

Congrats Strife, thanks for all the work on the wiki, and for reverse-engineering the lsl bytecode (: And for all the contributions you've made I haven't found yet.
