But what does a word matter. Other than you keep trying to correct people on words all the time? LOL I'm referring to the way the community in SL has come to use the word Bot. The bot actively doing anything hasnt been a requirement.

But what does a word matter. That may be the origin of the word but English isn't exactly known for being a static language, especially when it comes to geekspeak. Except when it is static. In this context, a bot is any program that connects to the grid to perform some automated task.
