Why is it snowing everyday it seems???

Me too in QC

For the 1st year ever, I've decided not to use the shovel. I mean, why should I, it's just going to snow again tomorrow... I know, very juvenile, sort of like not making your bed in the morning, but great for the back. :)

Oh honey, thats just because they won't run you off the road here. They slow down and let you in. Now in AZ they tried to run me off the road because I was only going 10 mph over the speed limit. If they didn't try to knock me in the ditch they would just flip me off. It's live or die in AZ, no middle ground. Scottsdale has the worst red light deaths in history. Salem here.

Kira darlin, where are you driving? I get run off the road all the time!!!! People speed up so you can't get over, even when you are running out of road to drive on. People block lanes at lights, so frustrating........I hear people talk about how people are so nice out here and it cracks me up! I just don't see it.........not saying everybody mind you, this is home and I love it.....but I don't think the drivers out here are any more curtious than anywhere else I've driven. :D

Its a mess here in Detroit too, I drive 40 miles each way to work and just got home, so stressful! And to add insult to injury I couldn't make it up my driveway when i did get here.

Dang, I used to spend a lot of time on Whidby. Fishing for salmon, crabbing and claming in the sound. I really miss it, can I come and live with you. I promise to be a good girl and not try to give you any kisses IRL...

Sure, but I'm not so sure about that promise. Promise not to be good and it's a deal. Can you tie your own flies? Most of the time my dining room table looks like a chicken and a muskrat got together and exploded. Fur, feathers, little bits of leather and thread all over the place.

Are you in PA? We have those idiots here, too. And the people who drive with no headlights in morning fog and pouring rain, which we had yesterday. White and gray cars are the worst in these circumstances. You can't even see them at all.

OMG! I lost my 1st & favorite car years ago to an idiot with no headlights on at dusk!!!

Having a white car myself, I turn on my lights ALL the time. Even with those "daylights".

And folks will never know "aggrivation" till they're stuck on 1 lane back road stuck behind an Amish Buggy. ;)

The BEST thing about cold weather:

#1: It makes snuggling up in a warm bed that much better! :)

#2: Hot Cocoa!!!

#3: Makes having a cold or the flu somewhat bearable. Nothing sucks more than being sick in 90 degree weather.

I'm in Chicago and were in a blizzard....AGAIN....I'm already sick of the snow and it's only February.

Chi-town is cool. Same thing here in NEW YORK CITY home of the World Champs Giants but here it's lots of rain.

Hope your blizzard isn't headed this way.

OMG! I know! Tuesdays around here are bad for some reason. I get behind at least 5 Amish buggies on my way to work on Tuesdays. And then with hills and curves, you can't go around the darn things because you can't see clear enough to go. And then when they're all the way to the right and decide to make a left turn!!!!!

You obviously haven't experienced having the flu when you were supposed to be flying to Bermuda for New Years while it's about 20 degress outside. Yes, this year, me; NJ. That, sucks worse.

Well, Im frozen all the time. I would love it to get just a smidgeon warmer. Though I do love the snow. We never seem to get snow anymore. Just hailstone or rain :(
I love it snowing outside, and being sat inside next to the fire with a hot drink and a good romantic movie or book.
Going to work in the snow, not so nice though lol. My walk to work tends to get extremely slippery.
I am always amazed at the huge differences in weather patterns in the US. I guess I never quite understand just how huge the place is. I mean, rainy old England isn't a patch on it lol. America is a huge continent to itself ffs, you would think I would get it eventually lol.

I love NJ! (contrary to others opinions)

I have fond memories of visiting my great-grandmother in Wildwood.

And yea, that does suck worse! Just like the Flu at Xmas time or New Years.

Great, I promise to be bad (a very good bad) if you know how to cook and clean. I can't tie flies but I sure know how to dig a hole for those clams and put a herring on the hook to catch the salmon. I can gut it and cook it for you too. Well, if you have a BBG that is.
/me trotts off to pack her bags.

Stormy, I live in Salem and all of the drivers are very kind to me here. They don't even honk at me when I get stupid. Of course, I do smile and wave at them in case they have had a bad day. Reason being, I would like to keep my body and car in one piece.

Wow, I can't believe people in Salem are kinder than in Portland! I'm rather Shocked! LOL.... Must admit, I don't do much driving in town in salem. I drive 17 miles to and from work everyday, and the drivers are so rude it gets me so worked up. Think I need to take Trout's idea with the LOL card from another thread. Perhaps I will just point and laugh instead, when someone flips the finger after they just almost hit my car! :D

I am totally sick of snow by February. I can't stand visiting sims with falling snow, too much of the stuff irl. Weather is calling for snow for the next 5 days here in NS. :(

I was just recently invited to a group on Flickr that mentioned something about "sick of snow in SL? well, let's have some summer photos" or something like that.

-nods her head- I will probably get my ass kicked on this one, but there are probably more CA transplants in Portland than Salem. They bring their tack record with them.

Ohhhh No i hope not Colette! i live in Ohio too so lets just pray it dont happen! :P Im so over this winter stuff! lol

We just moved to Ohio in September, but we seem to be missing all of the snow, or it's missing us! We purposefully didn't get a house in the snow belt, but we've gotten very little snow. Not that I'm complaining! I don't like winter, and was just reading a magazine about snorkeling in the Grenadines last night. *wistful sigh*

I'm an ex-Noo Yawka, and will refrain from making a Jersey joke, much as it pains me.

I had the flu for New Years in 2000. I couldn't sleep and watched the new year on TV from one end of Earth to the other. That was just wrong and totally sucked.

wow ya, not very far south of ya, but so far this winter has been occassional snowdumps followed in just a matter of days by forty/fifty degree weather.

this is the -second- week in a row that we've have tornado watches & warnings to be followed the next day by near/sub-freezing temps. i've only just got back online after the big storm just two days ago; lightning storm blowing up transformers and cable boxes all over the place. it's like mid-january and mid-april from one day to the next. the weather is gettin' weirder.
